Swans Fans Not Optimistic Of Transfer Moves
Monday, 9th Jan 2017 10:41 by Planet Swans (follow us on Twitter @swansnews)

We have players linked with Everton, Chelsea and Leicester amongst others but as it stands the fans we polled do not believe that we are about to see players coming into the club - certainly not ahead of the weekend clash with Arsenal anyway.

There was speculation over the weekend that Tom Carroll and Michy Batshuyai would be two players that the Swans could be closing in on amongst others but such is the nature of the January transfer window fans do not believe that we will see early movement into the squad.

Over 450 people voted in the past 24 hours in our latest site poll with over 70% saying that we would not see movement ahead of the weekend which gives you a good indication of how people are feeling right now

The Swans started the new year with a 2-1 win at Crystal Palace last week but now follow it up with a tough set of fixtures that open with Arsenal at home on Saturday and continue with a trip to Liverpool the following weekend.

It is widely accepted that we need several new additions to the squad over the course of this window and it should go without saying that the earlier we bring them in the more chance they have of settling into life in Swansea and the way of the squad and team.

New manager Paul Clement has admitted that he has players in mind which could work with the ones that were on the list before his appointment but whether we see movements this week remains to be seen.

Will we have new players in before the Arsenal game?
