Another Defender On Swans Radar?

Today's reports are that Arsenal defender Carl Jenkinson is once again back on the radar of the Swans as they look at many options to strengthen the Premier League's most generous defence in the window.

it was widely speculated that Paul Clement would look to strengthen a defence that has conceded 45 goals in the 20 Premier League games we have played to date and already in the window we have had links to several defenders to do just that.

Yesterday it was reported that we were close to a deal for Norwich defender Martin Olsson and today it is a link with Jenkinson, who has featured just once for the gunners this season.

According to the Sun it is not just the Swans who are in the running with Aston Villa, Watford and West Ham also showing an interest and it is believed that Palace are closing in on the player with a potential £3m fee agreed for a player who has just 18 months left to run on his contract.

It is not the first time the Swans have been linked wth a move for Jenkinson - there was some speculation back in the summer of 2015.

The first half of the January transfer window always tends to be a quiet one with much of the action taking place in the second half and that appears to be the case for this one as well as speculation grows about potential moves.
