£10m Bony Bid Turned Down?
Sunday, 6th Aug 2017 08:30 by Planet Swans (follow us on Twitter @swansnews)

The Sunday Mirror reports that Manchester City have turned down a £10m bid from the Swans for striker Wilfried Bony and are keen to hold out for a £13m sale price which is where they value the player.

Bony joined Man City from the Swans back in 2014 but has never commanded a regular place at the Ethiad Stadium and last season was allowed to go on loan to Stoke.

However, he scored just two Premier League goals - both against us - and now looks set to leave the Ethiad with the Swans heavily linked with a move for our former player.

The Mirror reports that Fenerbahce and Besiktas are also both keen on a move for Bony meaning that City are more confident of getting their asking price.

The paper also suggests that Bony would prefer a move back to South Wales rather than a big-money pay-day in the Far East.

He rejected overtures from Chinese Super League clubs last winter.
