Clucas Confirmed As Swans Signing
Wednesday, 23rd Aug 2017 18:10 by Planet Swans (follow us on Twitter @swansnews)

Sam Clucas has completed a move from Hull City to the Liberty for an 'undisclosed fee' in a move that has been confirmed by both clubs and follows a week of pursuit since Gylfi Sigurdsson completed a move to Everton.

It was reported ahead of last weekend's clash with Manchester United that the Swans had got a bid for Clucas turned down and at the start of this week it was reported that terms had been agreed.

Paul Clement said last night that he was expecting to see the deal completed today and this has now been the case with Clucas straight into the squad for the weekend trip to Crystal Palace.

At 6ft 2in, Clucas will bring considerable presence to Paul Clement’s midfield along with energy, technical quality and an eye for goal. The Swans have beat off competition from Burnley for the follow Leicester, Hereford, Mansfield and Chesterfield player.

Chesterfield will get five per cent of the transfer profit received by Hull which is reported to give them a windfall in the region of £675,000.
