When clubs like Liverpool, Manchester United and Chelsea want a player you naturally start to assume that they will get hold of him but the Swans have incredibly been instilled as bookmaker favourites to secure the signature of Renato Sanches.

The Bayern Munich midfielder was signed for £27m last summer but has reportedly grown frustrated at the lack of consistent game time at the Allianz Arena and has been looking for a move away.

And that has alerted the likes of the three English clubs together with Monaco in France but incredibly Paul Clement is looking to see if he can secure a season long loan for the Swans using his Bayern Munich contacts to their full extent.

Only this morning on Sky Sports a transfer update was given stating that Liverpool was the likely destination for Sanches - Kaveh Solhekol said on Sky Sports: “Some exciting news for Liverpool supporters reaching us from our colleagues at Sky in Italy.

“They’re reporting Liverpool are favourites to sign Renato Sanches on loan from Bayern Munich.

“The Portugal midfielder wants more game time and he’s frustrated in Germany after moving to Bayern for £27m in May last year.

“Chelsea and Monaco are some of the other clubs who are interested.

“Sanches’ agent Jorge Mendes was at the Monaco game last night but he’s also involved in the Mbappe deal.

“Sanches meanwhile didn’t play for Bayern on Saturday and they say he’d asked for time off to think about some offers.”

This would be a massive signing of intent for the Swans if we can pull it off - could be an exciting few days ahead
