Remy As Part Of Llorente Deal?
Monday, 28th Aug 2017 18:49 by Planet Swans (follow us on Twitter @swansnews)

It seems that Chelsea may well get their man with the link with Fernando Llorente not going away in the last few days of the window but could Loic Remy end up being part of the deal that sees last season's top scorer going to Stamford Bridge?

Llorente has a £15m+ price tag on his head and, as unlikely as it may have seemed, it does look as if Chelsea may be prepared to meet that and also cut their losses on Remy who has never been able to command a regular place at the Champions.

The Swans have been linked with a move for the striker before and still are along with Newcastle, Deportivo La Coruna and Cagliari.

Loic Remy joined the Blues from Queens Park Rangers in 2014. He formed a crucial part of the squad that helped Chelsea to win the Premier League and EFL Cup with nine goals and two assists. The departure of Didier Drogba almost made it seem like he would have a more prominent role at the club.

The Swans are known to be targeting a new striker with former man Wilfried Bony at the forefront of our list but a capture of Remy as part of a Llorente deal is very possible and would balance out the position we would find ourselves in.

Like us, Newcastle are keen on bolstering their attack. Remy’s experience and skill can prove to be invaluable for them and us and could see one of us making a move this week.
