Beat The Bookie - Aston Villa
Tuesday, 25th Dec 2018 20:13 by Planet Swans (follow us on Twitter @swansnews)

Boxing Day football always seems the perfect way to follow Christmas Day and with the visit of Aston Villa tomorrow the Swans have the perfect chance to put behind the disappointment of Saturday's defeat at Hull and return to winning ways.

Both sides in action tomorrow let slip a weekend lead to lose 3-2 although Villa's defeat to leaders Leeds saw them surrender a two goal advantage as opposed to the Swans who never took their chances to get to that two goal advantage in the first place.

The game is a sell out tomorrow which should create a good atmosphere, something which often spurs the Swans onto a better performance - well we can hope anyway!!

Once again we have trawled the odds available through the Swans main sponsor, Bet UK and come up with the bets that we think suggest value for tomorrow's game. Not sure we are claiming them to be tips mind given our dreadful track record so if you are keen on tips then can we just suggest you go for anything that we haven't mentioned!!

Overall the Swans are slight favourites for the game at 8/5 against the 17/10 for a Villa win whilst the draw can be backed at 12/5.

Despite that Tammy Abraham is the favourite to score the first goal at 9/2 but with Bersant Celina on good scoring form and likely to start tomorrow then it does feel that the 9/1 on him to score first could generate some value for us here.

Erwin Mulder saved a penalty against Hull on Saturday and there are odds of 12/1 available on Aston Villa also missing one tomorrow - or if you fancy the tables to be turned then it is also 12/1 on the Swans missing one.

The Swans have gone through many games in recent weeks where both teams have scored and if you fancy that to continue tomorrow then the odds are 10/19 or 27/20 if you think both teams won't score.

Finally let's have a look at the time of the first goal which is 17/4 to happen between the 11th and 20th minute.

That's just the pick of some of the odds that we have seen but you can see the full range of odds from the Swans official sponsors Bet UK by clicking this link
