Swans boss Steve Cooper has plenty to think about as Spurs are pushing for a player exchange deal with Swansea City for Joe Rodon, Harry Wilson is definitely on the radar after Liverpool are keen to see him at The Liberty and not only that - Joel Latibeaudiere is the key to Spurs getting their man. Last weeks deadline day for player exchanges was merely the forerunner to what is going to be a huge two days for Swansea City, the club has multiple transfer options with Joe Rodon top of the clubs thoughts. Cameron Carter Vickers who has spent time on loan with the swans is also in the transfer mix. It is now known to secure their man that Spurs have offered player exchanges, and not just Vickers to lure CEO Julian Winter in to further talks for Rodon. And the most interesting factor for the swans is they keep their man for the rest of the season. How that deal will be constructed will be determined by Spurs initial offer, believed now to be 11 million with the usual add ons and a player sell on clause. Of course the loan back deal will also be a part of the Rodon transfer with Spurs paying for his salary for the remainder of the season. For swans fans this is the best option, securing their most valuable player whilst the club receives sufficient cash to get through the current campaign without further financial issues.

However Swansea City are determined to get at least 13 million for Rodon with the same deal.

Joel Latibeaudiere available on a free

Putting that aside, Manchester City are also keen to see Joel Latibeaudiere leave the club and sign for the swans. There will be no fee and his wages are in the region of 10 thousand pounds per week, however Swansea will not pay that for an untried defender in the championship. Latibeaudiere joined Manchester City at the age of 13 but has never made a first-team appearance for the Premier League club. He played five times for FC Twente, scoring once. He would join two other members of the England Under-17 side which won the World Cup in 2017, Marc Guehi and Morgan Gibbs-White, at Swansea.Two of their team-mates, Rhian Brewster and Conor Gallagher, impressed while on loan at the Liberty Stadium last season. Spurs will be hoping the deal collapses so they can continue their negotiations with Swansea otherwise the financial aspect of Rodon leaving could increase by a matter of 3 or 4 million pounds. A loan back for Rodon would potentially leave Joel Latibeaudiere‘s transfer to Swansea on hold. There in lies the problem, and there in lies the issue for two premier league clubs wanting Swansea’s ear over the next two days.

That aside Liverpool are very keen to see Harry Wilson at Swansea City after the incredible year Rhian Brewster had during his loan spell. From a virtual unknown with minimal value Brewster became huge news at Swansea under Cooper and earned Liverpool 23 million pounds when he left Anfield for Sheffield United. Without a doubt Wilson moving to Swansea on loan is definitely on the cards. Other clubs are interested, but the powers that be at Liverpool prefer to see their player under the guidance of Steve Cooper.

Charlie Kelman, the Southend striker who is highly valued by the Essex club was to have a medical at QPR yesterday but that stalled, but is expected to take place today. However, we have all seen massive surprises at this point of the season and although Kelman is virtually a QPR player nothing is yet certain. Wimbledon striker Joe Pigott won’t go away either, there is definitely weight to his link with the swans. A clear Andy Scott target, but the signing of Viktor Gyökeres by the swans has dampened down any possibility of a move for Pigott this window.

The main issue for the swans is the amount of loan signings they will have if Wilson also joins the club, as it stands it won’t be a huge issue, however there are consequences having so many loan players. It is hardly going to help Steve Cooper implement what he really wants at Swansea City. Last season saw numerous players return to their parent clubs, Brewster being one, then Ben Wilmot and Connor Gallagher. Fluency and progression is hard to implement with absent players who a few months ago were key to the clubs success.

Ayew wages top of the concerned list

Andre Ayew has also been in the news after scoring two goals for his country this week and is expected to return to Swansea City on Thursday evening. Certain clubs have been linked with him in permanent deals but it is known Swansea wouldn’t be put off loaning the player to a premier league club if they cover his salary of eighty thousand pounds a week.
