Swansea City : Can a football club ever please everyone all the time ? Friday, 14th May 2021 11:43 by Steph Thomas The announcement by Swansea City yesterday that it’s FREE tickets for the second leg play off tie against Barnsley was an immense gesture. There has to be a degree of legislating to ensure those who enter the ballot are selected fairly. That was covered in yesterday’s main news story. However now it seems that wasn’t good enough ! You only have to see the social media sites and especially Twitter to see there are some seriously unhappy people about today who wanted to attend the game. We were absolutely gobsmacked to read that there are those who follow the club are so incensed they have taken to Twitter to make their feelings known. Here’s a selection -
Of course, in the main the gesture by the club towards its fans, once again shows the administration behind the club in South Wales Is doing what they feel is right as situations change. The vast majority have responded positively as you would expect. It seems ludicrously bonkers to complain about something that has been well thought out and is fair. Maybe a return to buying the fans pints of beer is more preferable to a well thought out policy for the biggest game of the season so far ? What do you think, right or wrong ?
