Swansea City new signing bar any late issues, here is the story from 11 days ago

On June 1st we ran a story via the accredited network News Now on Kyle Joseph, just to reiterate the content, and for you to get a bit closer to Swansea City’s first signing of the summer. ( It’s Friday ) Here is the story again. Don’t thank us !

Here it is.

Young Wigan Athletic forward Kyle Joseph is one of the players Andy Scott has earmarked as a potential signing for the swans during the close season. The young Scottish under 19 international has played fourteen games for the latics this season with a five goal return.

Injured quite badly in January Joseph made a return to fitness in April, and at the end of the season was offered terms to stay in Greater Manchester. However, he is available on a free transfer as we speak and it’s likely that one of a number of clubs including Celtic and Rangers will tempt him away from Wigan.

Leam Richardson is keen to keep Joseph at Wigan

The other clubs with interest in Joseph would have been concerned at the news the swans have joined the chase for his signature this afternoon. Recognised as one of the best clubs for a youngster to develop at, the swans can point to numerous players since Graeme Potter’s arrival as being a success. From there on Steve Cooper and Mike Marsh have developed players like Rhian Brewster, Mark Guehi and Jamal Lowe with noticeable improvement and Joseph would relish a new start at the Liberty.

This isn’t rumour and speculation Joseph is a key target for the swans, and although he won’t be considered a replacement for Andre Ayew he will join the ranks of very young promising strikers at the club should he choose to sign.

Swansea City do though need a recognised striker, and the search for Scott goes on.
