Jack Wilshere rumours are totally without foundation
Wednesday, 25th Aug 2021 15:13 by Gruff Stephens

Free agent Jack Wilshere who has been released by AFC Bournemouth after completing a six month contract is desperately looking for a new club. The 29 year old last played for England in 2018 and has an injury littered career. In 13 years he has played 196 games scoring 9 goals.

Wilshere is currently being touted to the majority of Championship clubs believed to be able to pay his huge salary demands. The fact Russell Martin is looking for an attacking central midfielder seems to have alerted Wilshere’s representatives. Any manager would be an admirer of Wilshere but for Swansea City he would be a huge gamble. To even contemplate him signing would put pay to Martin’s plans for a new revolution at Swansea. A source close to the club has indicated that any connection to the swans and Wilshere are ‘without foundation’ They did confirm that the swans are one of twelve clubs alerted to his availability, but that is always the case with a few days left in the transfer window, it isn’t unusual.

Wilshere being touted to anyone who will listen with days to go for a transfer

To be honest we are genuinely pleased that Jack Wilshere isn’t in Russell Martin’s plans, it would be tragic to see him at the club on the thousands of pounds he demands each week, plus his injury record.
