Liverpool centre back wants to join Swansea City for the season
Tuesday, 31st Aug 2021 12:42 by Gruff Stephens

Rhys Williams, Liverpool’s academy product, joining the club at the age of ten is keen to join Swansea City for the rest of the season. Latest news is the logistics are in place for a medical pending a loan fee ( under negotiation) and agreement for the swans to pay his fairly low salary.

Ethan Laird was the first loan signing from Manchester United, and now we hear Rhys Williams who has been at Anfield for ten years is nearly a swans player for the rest of the season. Williams was thrust into the Liverpool spotlight last season when the Anfield club were hit by numerous injuries. Completing nine premier league games and ten European and domestic cup games he came out of the experience with many admirers.

Liverpool wanted to see their twenty year old starlet in a team that plays their games in the right way. Signing for Swansea and most certainly as first choice centre back he will get that experience.

Two seasons ago Williams played 26 games for Kidderminster Harriers scoring one goal. He is a current England under 21 international.

More news as we get it.
