The swans midweek game against Luton Town has been called off with the clubs players being diagnosed with positive Covid-19 tests. Swansea have a terrific record of keeping their players safe, but even they now cannot field a team this week. This will be seen as endorsement for the Welsh assemblies recent ban on sporting events in Wales.

The club also cite injuries within the current squad.

Swansea City AFC stated “ The club has worked hard to try and ensure it would be able to fulfil the fixture, however, taking into account injuries and positive Covid-19 cases, the club does not have a sufficient number of players available. Any rearranged date will be confirmed in due course, while Swansea City will automatically refund supporters who have purchased streaming passes for this fixture” Swansea City will play no more competitive fixtures in 2021.

We will keep you updated on the date for the rearranged fixture as this is now the third cancellation in a row this month.
