Swansea City continue interest in MK Dons players. More bids to come ?
Saturday, 15th Jan 2022 11:02 by Keith Haynes

Those in charge of the swans purse strings seem to be happy to back Russell Martin in his pursuance of MK Dons players. Jake Silverstein has been in Wales for a month from the USA and although he saw little of Swansea City on the pitch he has been extremely active off it. Silverstein, Mark Allen and Julian Winter remain stoic in their pursuit of more players.

Harry Darling has been targeted by the swans as reported here in early December ⚽️ MK Dons Swans Indie report A bid for the player has been made this week which was rejected by MK, and now another bid is being prepared as the swans look to bolster their central defence.

The two clubs were poles apart regards Andrew Fisher’s valuation right up until last week which frustrated MK manager Liam Manning who expressed his frustration at ‘ the way the transfer was conducted ’ Now it seems he will be more frustrated as Harry Darling is more than aware of the bids and he is most certainly keen to join a club in the championship.

Harry Darling has been a target for the swans for a few months now

As we have stated though the valuations for Darling are so far apart with MK Dons wanting two million pounds and the swans valuing him far lower than that. If that means that Matt O’Riley is no longer of interest we don’t know, it’s highly unlikely both would come to Swansea as it would cost in the region of three million pounds. However, Silverstein has left the club with some financial assistance and Jake Bidwell,Jay Fulton and Yan Dhanda are set to leave the club. We believe Rhys Williams could also depart back to Liverpool.

One day we hear the swans finances aren’t as they were, the next we hear of bids for players in the hundreds of thousands. Fifteen days to go folks, nothing seems certain but one thing that is a certainty we will see more players coming in to the swans over the coming two weeks.
