Millwall v Swansea City TEAM NEWS and latest from the managers this afternoon Tuesday, 5th Apr 2022 15:38 by Swans Indie Staff Millwall go in to tonight’s game full of confidence and Gary Rowett has made it very clear to his team. You are at home and you dictate the play, not Swansea. His Millwall team are getting used to not losing football matches, they have only lost one of the last ten. TEAM NEWS IS IN Millwall: Bartosz Bialkowski, Danny McNamara, Murray Wallace, Jake Cooper (captain), Jed Wallace, Tom Bradshaw, Scott Malone, George Saville, Benik Afobe, Billy Mitchell, Dan Ballard. Substitutes: George Long, Ryan Leonard, George Evans, Maikel Kieftenbeld, Oliver Burke, Sheyi Ojo, Tyler Burey. Swansea City: Andy Fisher; Ben Cabango, Kyle Naughton, Joel Latibeaudiere; Cyrus Christie, Jay Fulton, Matt Grimes (captain), Ryan Manning; Joel Piroe, Hannes Wolf; Michael Obafemi. Substitutes: Ben Hamer, Korey Smith, Olivier Ntcham, Jamie Paterson, Kyle Joseph, Nathanael Ogbeta, Cameron Congreve. Rowett referring to Swansea said this morning “While we are respectful of their style, and it gives you problems at certain times, we have to focus on making the game one where they have to deal with our style. They are coming to our home ground and our form has been very good there.” That’s fair comment the last time Millwall lost at home was to Nottingham Forest in mid January that’s what the swans are up against. Rowett continued “What you have got to do is stop Swansea building a bit of rhythm to their game and moving the ball about. They are a technically very good side that make it difficult for you to get bits of possession in games and that, in turn, creates a little bit of frustration. At times in the game we might have to be patient and at times in the game we might need the fans to be patient because that is the type of game that Swansea want to try and create” Interesting comment there from Rowett who one minute is dictating the game and the next he admits Swansea will do the same. ![]() Jamal Lowe scored two at the new den last season The last time the swans visited the new den they won 3-0 last season, tonight’s game is going to be very difficult and definitely won’t resemble that previous ninety minutes. Unless of course the swans hit the ‘click’ button again and find the consistency Russell Martin yearns for. He also wants to see his side maintain some consistency. "We know we don’t have much time before the next game, and we have a lot of games coming up in a short space of time. But we are looking to try and find a level of consistency that has evaded us so far” Martin stated before leaving Swansea. The game is not being televised LIVE and isn’t on the sky sports red button. International, viewers can watch the game on Swans TV. TEAM NEWS will appear here at 6.45pm.
