Glasgow Rangers offer for Swansea player is turned down
Wednesday, 13th Jul 2022 17:04 by @Cornish67David

Glasgow Rangers are interested in Cameron Congreve and have contacted the club several times in the last week to try and secure his signature. A loan offer has been made by Rangers who allegedly are keen to sign the player. The swans have turned down any talk of Cameron leaving.

In the midst of the offer from Scotland Congreve signed a new extended contract with the swans clearly wanting to not only tie the eighteen year old down but also to signal to other clubs, ‘ he is ours’ To say Cameron is a talent is an understatement, he has made the step up to first team football and doesn’t look uncomfortable at all.

The attacking midfielder has been at the swans since 2013 and signed his first professional deal in March this year, this extended contract has given him and the club peace of mind. As for Rangers, they have also signed Antonio Colak and Tom Lawrence while John Souttar has joined after signing a pre-contract deal in January. Obviously trying to unsettle a young man at the start of his football journey hasn’t worked, and the message is clear. Swansea City are not a shopping centre for other ‘allegedly’ big clubs. And the fact Congreve had no interest in the offer should also please Swansea City fans.
