Swansea City to ask for more derby day tickets ? Let’s hope so
Friday, 24th Mar 2023 11:40 by Swansea Independent

We have been told that Swansea City are to ask for more tickets for the Swansea City v Cardiff City clash at the Cardiff City Stadium on Saturday April 1st ( Kick Off 3pm ) The game has not been selected for LIVE coverage and will go ahead as originally planned with a feed available from both clubs TV channels for international viewers only.

Swansea City have quickly sold out their initial allocation of around 1,800 and will ask for more tickets to satisfy a huge demand for the travelling Jack Army. Fans can only travel to the game on official transport that leaves the Swansea.com stadium on the morning of the game. We believe the move is right if this request goes ahead as numerous Swansea City fans purchased home tickets for the 4-0 hammering of the Bluebirds last season at the same venue. The final word no doubt will rest with South Wales Police.

Hopefully news of further tickets will happen as soon as is possible.

Cardiff City have won only one of the previous eight meetings, drawing one and losing six. The last time the Bluebirds beat the Swans was nine games ago in 2013 in the premier league with a 1-0 scoreline.
