Latest news for ‘Swans fans’ travelling to Southampton today
Tuesday, 26th Dec 2023 08:00 by Swansea Independent

Todays game at St Mary’s kicks off at 3pm with a near sell out home crowd and around 1,400 travelling to watch the Swans. It’s the most anticipated day of the season for many, a chance to watch their team at a time of year when many are off work or their studies. And anyway a day out the day after Christmas is more than welcome.

Since a 6-0 thumping for the Saints back in 1964 the Swans haven’t really had a lot of success results wise. In the last seven fixtures the Swans have won just one, a 2-1 victory back in 2017. Actually the previous seven fixtures to that saw the same return, just one win. That occurred in 2015. See below.

So, that’s two Swansea wins out of the last fourteen games. Will we see some changes in fortunes today ? A lot of that depends on the list of folk below.

The city has a number of pubs which welcome away fans.We will cover a few below but first here is a ground plan.

This morning Yates opens at 10am through to 8pm. This venue comes highly recommended , it has an order app and does reasonably priced food. The staff get a high rating too. Find the bar at 113-117 Above Bar Street, Southampton, SO14 7FH. Wetherspoons on London Road is another option. Dependent on the team the Saints are playing, and on police advice on the day depends on the policy on getting access to any pub or bar in the city.

Have a safe trip Jacks, and come on the Swans !
