Next up Coventry City away : There may be trouble ahead !
Thursday, 28th Dec 2023 08:00 by Liam Walters

With the Swans stalling on a new managerial appointment having had Allan Sheehan in charge of the side since December 4th, the next opponents are Coventry City away on Friday night. (KO 7.45pm) The reverse fixture this season, in August at the Swansea.Com ended 1-1. Jerry Yates getting the Swans goal.

In fact Swansea City have a decent recent record against the Sky Blues, they have won five out of the last ten, with the other five being draws. Looking back Coventry last beat the Swans in October 1981, 3-1. That was sixteen games ago, or in real terms forty two years in the distant past. We know about Joel Latibeaudiere and Jake Bidwell, both ex Swans players so we won’t go there.

Mark Robins is on an upwards surge and has his team in thirteenth place in the Championship.

The Sky Blues are unbeaten in their last five games.

The Swans ? well, it’s not nice reading after Saturday.

Matt Godden (7) and Haji Wright (6) are the main threat to the Swans goal. Jerry Yates has six for the Swans this season with Jamie Paterson and Jamal Lowe on five. As you would expect Coventry City are clear favourites and are expecting to gather three points from this game.

More later.
