Swansea City continue their journey in to the crazy world of Championship fixtures tomorrow night when they visit Leicester City. (7:45pm) It’s been a struggle for the Swans every time they meet a form team in this league, and it continued to be last time out. Their last league meeting, a 3-1 home loss to Southampton.

Leicester City sit fourth in the recent form table, but top overall, the Swans surprisingly in twelfth. In the actual table Swansea City sit in sixteenth eight points away from the bottom three and seven outside of the top ten. Form guide with the two Southampton defeats in those six games. (see below)

Overall this season the Swans haven’t looked anywhere near capable of worrying the play offs which they did late on last season. Their highest position is eleventh this time around. Leicester are the highest goal scorers in the league and have the best defensive record. They slipped slightly at Coventry City losing 3-1. However, you expect that as the season progresses. Leicester are formidable at home, but equally so away. The Foxes have lost four games this season, two at home and two away. The Swans future fixtures are daunting.

Bar Plymouth every side until the end of February are knocking on the promotion door.

Swans fans will write this one off, but will travel in large numbers as ever, what they won’t want to see is a capitulation as per last week at Bournemouth in the cup, or at Southampton away at Christmas. These feeble attempts at being a professional footballer in our clubs colours are embarrassing. And that’s the final thing in this early pre match build up. Players who are paid thousands every month to play for Swansea are not performing, and the new head coach, Luke Williams is trying to enforce a style of play on players of limited ability that doesn’t suit them. The mistakes at Bournemouth highlighted this.

Jamie Paterson, Harry Darling and Carl Rushworth will return to the starting eleven tomorrow evening. In the morning we look at the game and all the latest injury news.
