Are we ready Wales ! TEAMS and the reliance on Swansea City
Tuesday, 26th Mar 2024 18:36 by Liam Walters

The biggest game in Wales football history ? Well, we’ve had a few in our time from that Joe Jordan handball in 1977 to more controversy and heartache throughout the eighties and nineties the national side never does it easy.

Tonight, if successful will be the third European championships that Wales have qualified for in a row. Admittedly the last campaign was as poor as it could be compared to the 2016 semi final appearance in France. And tonight Germany beckons for the thousands of Wales supporters who have turned each competition in to a colourful occasion.

Just one goal will do it, of course with none conceded, that’s the target for Rob Page and his charges this evening. We think he will go for an unchanged side tonight leaving Dan James as added energy if needed later in the game.

Four Swansea City academy graduates will feature tonight, that’s for sure. Dan James who signed on at the academy from Hull City at sixteen and of course the three of Ben Davies, Joe Rodon and Connor Roberts. The Swans Liam Cullen is also involved in the squad tonight. Those Cardiff fans in the crowd will be cheering as loud as anyone else if any of them score tonight, that’s the power in recent times of the Swans academy. These players when sold brought in forty million pounds to the Swans. Tonight if they win they will be pure gold.

⚽️ Teams are in.

Wales XI: Ward; Mepham, Rodon, B. Davies; Roberts, Ampadu, J. James, Williams; Wilson, Johnson, Moore.

Poland XI: Szczesny; Bednarek, Dawidowicz, Kiwior; Frankowski, Zielinski, Slisz, Piotrowski, Zalewski; Swiderski, Lewandowski.
