Ethan Erhahon : What offer ? When ? Not what Sheehan wants at Swansea Tuesday, 13th May 2025 18:12 by Liam Walters & Keith Haynes The summer window isn’t even with us and the experts out there continue to speculate on new bodies coming into Swansea City FC. One is Ethan Erhahon, currently at Lincoln City and a midfielder who is most certainly getting attention. Having just turned twenty four his centre of the park attributes have come to the fore. He played in thirty one games last season, however he contributed one assist and hit the goal charts with one effort against Bolton in April. For us that did set some alarm bells off, so over the past twenty four hours or so we have done what we like to think is the appropriate diligence on Ethan Erhahon. Yes, Ethan likes a defensive midfield role and being British there’s no issues regards getting permissions rubber stamped to join the Swans. He started off life at St Mirren and progressed over eight years from his first appearance in the U17 squad to where he is today. The season before the one that has just ended Ethan bagged four goals from forty three appearances for the Imps and a couple of assists. He prefers defensive midfield but can operate exceptionally well at league one level in a midfield set up with a liking for the left hand side of the park. Being left footed is an added bonus for any Championship club looking at strengthening next season. Lincoln boss, forty two year old Michael Skubala was keenly putting him into the shop window last summer rating him as the best midfielder in League One. Ethan wasn’t sold and went on to finish the season off with more plaudits. Director of football, Jezz George even went on to say, "We hoped this would be the situation when we signed Ethan. He has been exceptional. It's about career progression and the right club. So if the right club comes in with the right financial package for Ethan that could be life changing, quadrupling his wages, and it is an absolutely huge number for Lincoln City - money we can use to overall try and strengthen in lots of different areas, then as a football club we have to look at that." (BBC Radio Lincolnshire) That didn’t work in 2024, and we have spoken to an exceptional source on the east of the country who stated to us yesterday,”He isn’t what Alan Sheehan would want for Swansea, that’s a certainty, I would very much doubt he is in the frame for a move to Wales” Alongside that we have also been told from an external source that no bid from Swansea has been made at any price, least of all the six hundred thousand pounds highlighted by some credible accounts on social media (we all get things wrong at times) that a bid has been made. He doesn’t, as already stated, fit the profile. The Swans are very much on the lookout to strengthen the squad in that area of the field. However, they are sourcing players that can over a lot of research add quality to the midfield immediately. Melker Widell being a prime example. ![]() Ethan isn’t on the Swans radar at this moment in time and no official bid has been made This is why Melker’s brother (Casper) at this moment in time isn’t on the radar. He plays for Excelsior Rotterdam. The feeling being that the second division in Holland isn’t a good gauge as to how a player can operate in their top league, least of all the Championship. We do get a feeling though he could muster up more interest over the summer. There’s plenty more to come. The reports on Ethan Erhahon seem to be causing a lot of excitement for fans of both clubs, Imps fans stating the offer is derisory. There are most certainly incorrect, wherever this leak came from it isn’t accurate, and no official bid has been made. ![]() Photograph : tag:reuters.com,2024:newsml_MT1IMGOSP000D2KR2M:113347206 REUTERS Please report offensive, libellous or inappropriate posts by using the links provided.
