Snoop Dogg : Is this a paid publicity stunt or genuine ? Cardiff City too Monday, 14th Jul 2025 14:10 by Keith Haynes Have Swansea City pulled off a master stroke with Calvin Broadus JR (Snoop Dogg) publicising the new season shirt ? Allegedly in very close discussions on furthering his involvement with the club we raise an eyebrow. The fifty three year old singer and producer has more links to clubs than Lewis O’Brien Snoop is managed by his wife Shante Broadus, you won’t get much change out of two million pounds for a show, but his fee has risen to millions more even putting the Gallagher brothers (Oasis) in the shadows for earning potential. With an open net worth of around £130,000,000 but with a massive investment portfolio of over £275,000,000 he enjoys investment in brands that he be,Ives are going to enable his profile and brand. He has expressed his desire to invest in Celtic in recent years and was one of the correspondents for NBC in the Paris Olympics last year. He also has a lifetime of support for American football. He has set up academies and support for many years. That aside Snoop Dogg loves a football shirt, seen below in 2023 with a Burnley top in similar pose, he doesn’t stop there. And yes, he has been seen in a Cardiff shirt, Norwich, QPR, Celtic and many more. So, is this really a master stroke or a paid publicity stunt ? The artist hasn’t invested in any club despite being linked over the years, however our research does tell us he is in discussions for a ‘potentially stronger link’ That’s plausible. But that Cardiff City stunt will take some getting used to. ![]() It’s an odd time with some form of ridiculous rivalry being attempted with Wrexham, a club who despite their success financed by their owners still have a temporary stand. They do have grandiose plan for a huge capacity stadium but that’s a good time away. They should have their Kop end finished by next summer, but rivals to the Swans they are not. And as it stands today, this Snoop Dogg stuff is no different to what he has been doing for years. Of course if he invests we as a fanbase I’m sure will be very grateful but he has too many faces and too much of a lack of understanding as to the average football fan. Or did the Swans do their research properly, like we have ? ![]() ![]() Use of our material should be credited.
