Melker Widell, Zeidane Inoussa & of course Snoop Dogg ! Thursday, 17th Jul 2025 20:02 by Liam Walters Swansea City are in San Pedro del Pinatar, in the Murcia region an area which is topped off in sunshine this time of year. The Swans are spending the week training in heat before they take on Stevenage this Saturday at the Pinatar Arena. The Kick Off time and date now seemingly provisional. Reports we have from this trip are only positive, we hear that a member of the Swans coaching staff is absolutely stunned by the quality of Melker Widell since he has joined the club. His skill on the ball and strength is already being remarked upon. Seeing part joint owners, Brett Cravatt and Jason Cohen there is a sign that they are on the right path with the Swans. Their desire to get this season right and work with a more rounded staff with an intelligent work ethic is reassuring and in the same disappointing because of the wasted seasons that have gone before. The genius addition of Luka Modrić and now Artist, Snoop Dogg has got Swansea City followers in the main as excited as they have been for many years. We did report the other day on the amount of football shirts Snoop has been seen holding up over the years, including a Cardiff one and him being connected to Burnley for investment, as is our right. This was fact and in no way was having a go at anyone but reporting truth. Well, we know what the circus on social media are like. If they can’t understand things or bother to read a report that’s their issue. You make your own mind up. On Widell it seems that the chase for his signature was worthwhile despite the same social media warriors slating the club at the time regards him signing and being loaned back to his former club. It was a master stroke when then Chairman Andrew Coleman had lost focus and was being aided by Brett Cravatt’s research team, some of whom remain today. Having Richard Montague as Sporting Director to get these players negotiated into the club after such hard work and precise research has been a real coup. We have been told that Melker possesses so much self awareness and positioning ability with a touch of a player with a real football brain if he continues in that vein, he will be a real fans favourite. Then there is Zeidane Inoussa, a player described as having immense pace with very succinct ball control and a real eye for goal. It’s been a while for the Swans to have a complete threat on the wings combined having the ability and pace like that. We shouldn’t forget Ronald and Eom, the latter recovering from injury in Swansea. Many within the club are also believing that this will be Ronald’s season, a player with pace to burn who really has to deliver when in dangerous positions. The issue with Ronald is he has so many opportunities compared to others, it does at times look like he isn’t capitalising. That’s so much good news and now Sky Sports are all over the new investment from Snoop Dogg, surely now Swans fans can sit back and wait for further signings which no doubt are on the way. News on Jerry Yates leaving is there is none. ![]() Photographs Swansea City AFC Please report offensive, libellous or inappropriate posts by using the links provided.
