Swansea City take on Cheltenham Town at Whaddon Road in Gloucestershire with a 7pm kick off tonight. A large number of Swansea fans will be travelling having sold near to eight hundred tickets for the game. (Unconfirmed) There will be pay on the day as well.

Alan Sheehan has decided that he will make an overall assessment as to his squads strength this week after tonight’s game and then on Saturday at Exeter acuity (1pm) Changes will be made throughout the fixture tonight giving various academy graduates further opportunity to impress. This as he leads what he hopes is his first full season as the boss of the Swans. Expectations are high as we near the new campaign with a variety of exciting signings made during the summer.

We are expecting at least one more, possibly two before the end of the window.

The Swans still have players targeted in all back up positions and still are believed to announce at least one more permanent signing this summer. Although loans are an option to date there has been little need to look into that market. That’s not to say if a particular player does fit the mould he may be brought in, but it isn’t a desire to date. If we told you that the club has had literally hundreds of inquiries of this nature into SA1 it shouldn’t surprise you.

Now, Ethan Erhahon. The Lincoln City player was the subject of speculation in mid May which we exclusively revealed was totally incorrect. Rumours of a six hundred thousand pounds bid was inaccurate, in fact no contact between the clubs had been made. Again today some very informative accounts have stated that the Swans have again bid for the Imps player. This isn’t correct, with all due respects to Ethan he isn’t seen as the right fit for the club and they still have no interest in signing him. There has been no inquiry, talks or even a bid. Again that can be discounted.
