We have covered Kim Hellberg throughout this week, we have gone in with some exclusives and indeed reported the latest on social media. Many of those who follow us there and on here will know today is something of a D’day.

As we hit eight days until Bristol City is the team on everyone’s lips - with no head coach appointed and staff that are left behind after Sheehan’s departure, we can now assume this Hellberg appointment hasn’t been an easy task. In fact despite light hearted humour on Twitter which sailed high and above most peoples very blinkered minds the fact remains, Hellberg has other opportunities to think about.

And he is doing that now.

As of last night those opportunities which are obvious have surfaced. It’s long been a thing that we don’t put news on this website that would in any way jeopardise anything the Swans are up to. We realise our followers on social media and on here can work their way through our reports intelligently, but don’t expect the other ‘intelligencia’ to do so. We write our reports for our thousands of visitors every day, and not for any other reason.

That being said and unless Hellberg has woken up this morning and believes Swansea is his future there will be some delays. We do know that the contract initially in discussion for Hellberg to come to Swansea has been enhanced when other interest in him was apparent. Key dialogue held in London has interested him, but he wants to consider other alternatives. That in turn now means the Swans are also looking elsewhere but with hope that Hellberg turns into a positive.

All we are stating this afternoon is that Norwich, Middlesbrough and Southampton are still to appoint replacements and as a club the Swans have the least cash available to encourage Hellberg. Without doubt and contrary to belief Hellberg has used this trip to talk to more than one club and gauge the interest through his agent. Hellberg isn’t in the country with his wife, Christina and his family, our report above gives a lot of insight into that and how we know it. If the Swans (Tom Gorringe and Adam Worth) pull this off it is now going to be the Championship coup of the year. Without doubt. The Swans have moved quickly but as we often see with other more lazier clubs they sit back at times and take the cream off the Swans hard work.

This seems to be happening, but let’s not forget the decision is still down to Kim Hellberg, and as we repeat again and again, there’s no more free radical than folk. Certain people just need to be able understand goodwill and informed reporting, and then they can move on to the next rung on the ladder of thinking for yourself.

Latest is Hellberg has been offered a new contract by HammarbyIF after five weeks of discussions.
