Foxes v Swans : Latest Injury News, comment and preview of the big game Friday, 10th Apr 2026 17:10 by Liam Walters The Swans are nicely tucked into their hotel close to Leicester for their Championship league fixture tomorrow against the Foxes at the King Power Stadium. The odds on any Swansea side getting anything from this fixture are always slim, it hasn’t been a happy hunting ground. The last ten fixtures between the two sides have resulted in one Swansea win and a draw. The rest all going Leicester City’s way. The last time the Swans won against the Foxes away was in October 1950. It hasn’t been anything but a hard slog when away from home to tomorrow’s hosts. They are though under extreme pressure to win this game. They are fighting relegation to League One as the graphic below displays. Next week the Foxes are at Portsmouth away. That’s huge. ![]() Before we look into this particular game let’s have a look at some stats. Swansea City tend to control more of the ball, averaging 55% possession with 80.19% pass accuracy, and are led by Championship top scorer Zan Vipotnik on 20 goals, with Josh Tymon providing nine assists. The Foxes' threat may come from transitions and wide supply, with Abdul Fatawu on nine goals and seven assists. Defensively, the Foxes have kept only five clean sheets and could be tested by Swansea City's patient build-up. Equally, their 52% possession and 81.71% passing suggest they can play through pressure when chances arise. (One football) Jordan James on loan from Rennes suffered an Achilles tendon injury whilst playing for Wales but he ‘could be’ included tomorrow having spent two games out on the sidelines. Aaron Ramsey though is looking at the Swansea game as a week too early. Manager, Gary Rowett on James, "He's done some work this morning (Thursday) and we'll see how he feels after that. We're hopeful he might be available for the game (Swansea) if he's not I'm pretty sure 100% he'll be available for the next one. We want to give him the best chance possible and we'll probably make a decision on that on Friday” The Swans are happy to state that Zeidane Inoussa is back in training but seems unlikely to be in any condition of fitness for this next fixture. Ethan Galbraith is definitely out as in Josh Key. We have information that Adam Idah, Zān Vipotnik, Franco, Marko Stamenić and Melker Widell were all fit as of this morning. All have travelled as have Cameron Burgess, Ben Cabango, Jay Fulton, Ronald, Eom and Sam Parker. Vitor Matos : “The squad is in a good place, Zeidane has returned to train and he is back with the team. Of course he still needs to adapt a little bit to the training to feel sharp and fully fit again, which is not easy after the sort of injury he has had. It is important he gets back into a rhythm in terms of training and exposure to games, we want to be careful with him but he is training, he is available for selection. It will be about the right time to bring him in. Josh is making steps in his recovery, he will probably be available for the last two games of the season, but we will need to see how the next days go but that is the plan.” That’s the best we have as of this evening on abilability. Injury wise the list is the same as Bank Holiday Monday for the home draw against Middlesbrough bar Inoussa returning to training yesterday. This will be a good test of the Swans ability to travel to a team who will work very hard for their future in the Championship come 3pm tomorrow. They need to show they can win away having had an horrendous time really under Vitor Matos on the road. A safe pair of hands in Lawrence Vigouroux (below) sees improvement. “It is so important when you are able to work consistently as a group and keep building and trying to improve,” he said. You understand each other better, you know everyone’s strengths and weaknesses, and the work you do in these periods or in these seasons can absolutely be the building blocks for something better. I often talk about it, but I had it in my time at Leyton Orient. We had a manager leave halfway through the season, a new manager came in and we did really well over most of the remainder of that season” Improvement is what Swansea fans want to see especially the support travelling to Leicester for tomorrow’s game. ![]() We will have our match day morning build up tomorrow, thanks for supporting the Indy, your best in class for Swansea City News.
