Swansea City have reportedly swooped to sign Ousseynou Fall Seck a central / right sided midfielder from Randers FC in the Danish Superliga. According to information from Tipsbladet in Denmark the clubs have agreed on a price that comes in and around two million euros with add ons.

Tipsbladet : The oldest football magazine in Scandinavia is a trusted and prominent Danish sports media outlet. “Earlier on Saturday, it emerged on Danish TV 2 that Randers FC had reached an agreement with a club from the Championship, and that he is therefore not in head coach Rasmus Bertelsen's squad for Sunday's match against FC Nordsjælland.”

That club is Swansea City we are told.

Jamestown Analytics, the Swans data provider and prominent in this market will most certainly be behind this during its early stages leaving new football director Ben Stevens to finalise matters. It is expected if all goes to plan today and tomorrow we could see Ousseynou Fall Seck in at Swansea City before the league cup game against Birmingham City next Saturday.

Seck (below) as he is commonly referred to started out his football life at AJEL de Rufisque having played junior football for Modèle de Mbao, his hometown in Senegal. A fee of around twenty five thousand euros saw Seck transfer to Randers last season. It has all happened so quickly for the nineteen year old Senegalese player, there is even talk the fee of around one and a half million pounds could rise to a million more if his purchase is a success for Swansea City.

The Swans are getting a very physical player who doggedly operates in midfield and right wing with high energy levels. However, of course that is untested at Championship level. His stats in the Danish Superliga do not suggest a player scoring goals or even providing assists but this agreement seems to be concentrating on player development. Having said that you wouldn’t expect a transfer of this amount to be playing U21 football throughout next season.

Swansea City have banked in an around two and a half million pounds with the sales of Liam Cullen to Leicester city and the pending deal for Cameron Congreve to join Westerlo in Belgium. Albeit amortised as all Swansea City deals are - up front fees for both players leaving the Swans are unknown. Having said that regardless of the payment structures for any deal they will carry over the players contract. An example being Cullen signing a three year deal at the Foxes.

This deal will be further discussed and finalised we are told today and Monday. Seck is represented by Asfan Sports Management.
