The PFA website quote Leeds as being 7/2 favourites to storm to the Division Three...i mean League One title this coming season!

Leeds once again are set to be cursed by the bookies.

In their view, we are in pole position to return to the Championship yet again!

Two years of play-off heartache count for nothing! We are favourites to go up alongside Charlton.

Arguably a better bet is Southampton at 20/1 despite their ten-point deduction?

The mood amongst many Leeds fans is pretty much like the weather...downcast! Our pre-season form has been average so far with defence still causing many headaches. Despite leading 2-0 against Shelbourne on Tuesday night, United were pegged back to 2-2 just four days after being held by York City.

Key players such as Richard Naylor and Neil Kilkenny are injured, Jermaine Beckford and Fabian Delph are likely to leave and so far we have signed just two players on free-transfers from clubs who were relegated last season!

Oh and two of our regulars last season Frazer Richardson and Jonathan Douglas have joined two League One rivals on "free's" having failed to agree new deals at ER!

But at least Enoch Showunmi and maybe even Tresor Kandol are back! Bet the rest of League One are quaking (and the landlord of the Peacock who better check his insurance policy as a barrage of stray chances will sail over the South Stand next season).

The Paddy Kenny drug-test controversy has died down of late, methink the PFA webmaster should provide a sample asap!
