Bumper Crowd Expected for M'brough Match
Bumper Crowd Expected for M'brough Match

Norwich City officials are pleased to report that 25,111 tickets had been sold by 5pm today, the most for a home game this season.

Over the summer the builders were in re-siting seats around the stands in order to increase the ground capacity to 27,000. By the looks of things, tomorrow's encounter will see the first use of the extra capacity.

Meaning no disrespect to the opponents that have already played at Carrow Road this season, there hasn't been a team yet worthy of any real note. Tomorrow sees the first of the "bigger" teams gracing the hallowed turf.

With Burnley and Leeds next up at home, the numbers could swell, and Portsmouth should be a crowd-puller as well. But the team in between Leeds and Pompey will definitely be a sell out.

Our old friends from down the road. Ipswich Town. The team for which, it could be argued, the extra capacity was created. For sure, if the City -v- Town fixture could be held at Wembley, a sell our crowd is likely.

One thing is for sure, if you are not a season ticket holder then you should seriously consider buying a membership or Super membership. Tickets will be more difficult to get the closer City gets to the chances of promotion to the Premier League.
