Michael Duff was relatively positive after his Swans side drew 1-1 with Coventry. Describing the game as a fair draw the Swan remain undefeated at home with two draws from two tough games against Coventry and Birmingham City.

Duff confirmed Josh Ginnelly will play for the under 21 side next week in an effort to get him more match fit for the rest of the campaign. “But the positives were the reaction from last week, we talked about defending set-plays, we talked about mentality.mIt’s been a good week on the training ground, and they have had to earn a point. There are things we can do differently, but defensively we have not presented them with an opportunity. The balance is can we keep the quality but improve the mentality and togetherness.

The issue at this very early stage of the season, and it seems to be coming from those who are of a certain tender age and on social media is that this is already a broken season. The immediacy of life today ensures we have this intolerance towards others when they don’t do exactly as we want. All we can say is a season isn’t lost after two home draws in the championship. Anyone who thinks it is regardless of the performance isn’t reading things very well. The Swans have had two tough sides to play against at home and lost by the odd goal in five last week. Two points from nine is a platform, and next week Preston provide the next station in a long nine months of very hard games.
