TEAM NEWS : Sheffield Wednesday v Swansea City

Both sides have players out. The Swans have Kyle Naughton unavailable and it seems this morning he could miss more than just a few weeks. Sam Parker and Josh Ginnelly are definitely out. Iké Ugbo and Di'Shon Bernard are available for the Owls.

Both of Wednesday’s returnees are influential players and if fit and selected they will cause the Swans some grief this afternoon.

Danny Röhl, Sheffield Wednesday, "We have our principles, we have a clear idea of what we want to do. I think at home we showed a lot of good games with a lot of energy. We need courage in all phases and then in both boxes, the good things. Sometimes it is not about tactical things, it is about attitude, the intensity, the running metres. When you compare the days that we were successful in terms of how many metres we run against the opponent with the games that we lost, you see why we lose. It's not just about the tactical things or how we press, we have to do things right and do our basics. In a meeting with the players I showed them some things and I think everybody is ready for the eight chances we have."

Luke Williams, Swansea City, “I think it’s fair to say the players had been showing a trend of playing on the front foot in the games leading up to the derby, but that game was a good example of playing on the front foot. This is something that we want to become a trait and something we’re recognised for. It’s important to us that we want that to become an identity of ours. We will need that intensity on Friday. I expect them to fight tooth and nail for every inch of football pitch”
