Sunday May 30th 2021 : The day it all went wrong for Steve Cooper Sun 25th Jul 2021
At a more quieter time, well, at least until tomorrow or Tuesday when John Eustace will be announced as the new Swansea City manager with three others, albeit coming in over time with him ( that’s four for the mathematicians ) We look back to an article by Keith Haynes the day after the play off final, the first reported issue that Cooper was having with Julian Winter. Tomorrow we will feature the first article on this website that stated Cooper was to do his job or leave, literally a few days later. Stay with us and support all Swansea City websites, please remember this is an article from seven weeks ago, so the information is current to then, not now. Thanks, David Cornish.
Swansea City signing set to be announced Sat 17th Jul 2021
As we reported earlier in the week Swansea City are hard at work trying to secure a loan signing which will be seen as a boost to the current squad dynamic. Two players were in the mix to be signed, and one should be confirmed by Monday at the latest. The other player we believe isn’t going to happen at this time.
Does this Swansea City squad have any chance in the championship ? Mon 05th Jul 2021
Believe it or not we are only a couple of weeks away from those rather interesting pre season friendlies we all used to love going to in good weather with a few mates. And there is no note of sarcasm there, I used to love our trips to grounds we had hardly ever visited or for the first time. And of course checking out the squad for the new season.
100 Swansea City fans vote on Steve Cooper’s future ! Tue 01st Jun 2021
The poll has been running for a month. Through the good results and the bad results, through the excellent performances and the bad. So here is Swansea Independent’s fans vote on Steve Cooper and Mike Marsh. Of course not everyone voted, we get around 25,000 views a day with over a thousand active members, and eight thousand registered. But it’s a damming verdict. Maybe some of us should pause for reflection, or just wish for a more positive change this summer ?

Ryan Manning's Premier League dream with Queens Park Rangers was a case of so near, but yet so far and earlier this season he was forced to sit in the Wembley stands with the Republic of Ireland. The Irish Examiner examines Ryan who examines his teams chances at Wembley.

Cooper out thinks Valérien in the Play Off first leg tie at Oakwell Tue 18th May 2021
It was always going to be a tight game, the newly inspired top six latecomers Barnsley against the methodical percentage tactics of Swansea City. However to win the game it takes more than an off the pitch vision and tonight Coopers surprise selection got it spot on.
Steve Cooper play off press conference & Belgian striker linked Sun 16th May 2021
The swans are just a day away from their first leg play off against Barnsley at Oakwell on Monday night. Steve Cooper has answered his critics, gained valuable credibility on his own CV for the future, and his cool exterior is far different to last season that’s for sure.
Conor Hourihane wants to be a big part of Swansea City’s success Thu 13th May 2021
Since January Conor Hourihane has wowed swans fans with his dead ball ability, frustrated many with his defensive work and completely baffled even the best in Alan Curtis with his work rate in games. The boy from Bandon, Eire needs to step up on Monday evening for the swans, it’s as simple as that.
Swansea City on the brink of something really huge ? Sun 09th May 2021
It’s our most read feature on Swansea Independent. The Sunday supplement. Keith Haynes, our site owner and best selling football writer for some thirty years tells it very straight indeed. Read on, it’s fascinating, and most certainly without any prejudice, just how we like it. : David Cornish For Swansea Independent
