I don't think you can put Montero or JDG in there considering they are not our players. I can't recall if we tried it last season but I'd like to see a trial of Chico sitting in front of the back four.

Not if there is players behind him, he'd arguably be making less last ditch tackles, I can see it suiting him more as he doesn't really need to keep such a high concentration in regards to position.
I can't see who else is going to play there at the moment, unless we just want to leave it to Leon and get the diamond back in the middle. | |

I would guess the midfield for United will be Britton, Shelvey and a new signing-either JDG or someone else.
The impression I get is that we're looking to sign a defensive midfielder, retain Ki and JDG and then bring in an attacking midfielder like Sigurdsson to add to Britton and Shelvey for the midfield positions. |  | | |

I'd like to give Shelvey the AM gig and focus on getting a quality destroyer alongside Leon. Don't think JJS is as effective when he's dropping deep to collect. | |

Not wishing it was an actual pre-planned set up but I thought Amat was decent in that position when we were struggling last season. Also not forgetting Fulton to come back in, assume he will be in and around the first team when fully recovered. |  |
