Hasn't the arrival of a new keeper coach coincided with our dismal set piece defence? We were better last year, although we had Bony who was excellent to have in the box. Tony Roberts was also at Arsenal, right? Exactly the place where Fab was known for being terrible with crosses.
We've now conceded 15 goals from set pieces this season. Fifteen fuc*king goals! Just ridiculous. When Dorus was in goal, set pieces used to cause me nightmares, but there's something all round shambolic in our approach to defending them this year. If a striker who's gonna get 15 goals, costs you 20 million, then how much value could we get from appointing a top level defence coach to focus purely on set pieces for next year. |  | | |

We have had loads of problems this season and Fabs responsibility for them has rarely been questioned. Should he be rested? Possibly, as his understudy has not been given many chances. Mainly due to Garry Monk's failure to squad rotate.
Disappointment got me is we are still on the edges of the mix and can't experiment and look forward to a new season. | |

All keepers in the Prem will have 'worldy' games, consistency is the barometer. Fab for me not good enough over the season.
Whether that is down to the coach, no idea. We must all get away from the mentality that the Swans should be 'grateful' for having a decent keeper.
We hopefully will be a prem club next season, at this point as someone who knows absolutely nothing about what constitutes a good keeper, apart from the obvious, worldy saves, I'd say he's not good enough. | |
