Surely there is nothing wrong with a Palestinian flag ?, is she real ?, or is this being misreported ?, ok Hamas flag being outlawed (I assume there is such a thing, not that I would know) but we should not ban some state flags and allow others.

Back on the flags issue, Celtic Supporters Association speak -
https://www.jewishvoiceforlabour.org.uk/article/statement-from-the-celtic-suppor

Out of interest the website I've linked too to get the Celtic supporters group statement on the Palestinian flag issue is from a Jewish Labour party left wing group (UK), the very type of people that Labour are throwing out of Labour party for antisemitism, you can't make it up , anyone critical of Israel/Benny Net etc gets kicked out, most Jews getting kicked out are educated and elderly, I can't speak for them but to survive the war and for them to see what Israel has become and is doing to the Palestinians must be extremely upsetting to them.

I like their slogan thing "To be a Jew means always being with the oppressed, never with the oppressors.”
That could apply to me , I even used to support the Red Indians as a boy against the cowboys.
They say it comes from some bloke Marek Edelman – last surviving leader of the Warsaw ghetto uprising.

I went to write on here about the Warsaw ghetto and the parallels with Gaza and unfortunately the end result, I don't think I pressed the button (I done quite a few posts so can't remember apologises if I've already mentioned the Warsaw ghetto).

If you knew more about some bloke Marek Edelman you wouldn’t like him. He hated you commies almost as much as he hated the Nazis.

Football fans are a family and claim ownership of the club they follow and the club philosophy. The fans cannot therefore take sides in a time of crisis as they a deemed to be speaking for all the other fans the ownership and players.

Fans are also prone to want to cause gross offence to any particular group. This is sometimes based on gut feeling rather than logic. Fenerbahce sang putin sang in a game v Dynamo Kiev.

Swansea city is a majority US /Jewish / Welsh owned club up until perhaps recently The owners would not want to promote this. I am not entirely sure some of the comments on here are not entirely free of ethic stereotyping with regard to business practices. Accusations of syphoning of funds or pyramid schemes

Flag waving on any particular side would be at least in part be seen as support death and violence against innocent civilians which appears to be promoted on both sides.

It is fair to say, i think that the people of Gaza have been dealt a raw deal and the UN should be looking at righting historical wrongs. A solution will need to be imposed rather than agreed. States like Russia and Iran understand the Wet is in in a weak moral position of the treatment of Palestinians. It would help the West to resolve peacefully the grievances of Palestinians.

Flag support when there is low violence is tolerated. Spurs Celtic etc.

The big problem is that we have imported so many muslims now banning the Palestinian flag could be a tricky task.

The whole system of diversity is crashing down.

Personally I don’t blame them after all they’ve been through.

Edit, I don’t see any difference in right or left wing anymore. The extremes of both if they are in discussion are inseparable.

It doesn't matter what side of the fence you sit on, or even if you sit on the fence itself, when you turn extreme it is never good and always results in tragedies, disasters that grow and multiply.

I'm of a mind to say that Israel and Palestine should both be cut off until they both stop the murdering.
Unless or until a political solution is found such as Hamas laying down weapons and a brder being drawn up and agreed by both parties ( to stop the land grabs) with Israel agreeing to UN charters and both parties signing an agreement to obey international law or face being cut off completely. Of course rogue states will still fund Hamas but until the Palestinians themselves stop Hamas nothing can be done.

What was the point of this Hamas attack? To make Israel invade? What does that achieve? Is it Russia and Iran who drove this attack to show the world that the West backs Israel yet again, for the terorrist community a reason to start the attacks again AND to take Ukraine off the front oage news? I haven't seen much about Ukraine on the tv news recently, if that was the plan it seems to have worked and will we see Islamic terrorists being more active again?

Braverman is yet another right wing dupe, she promotes an idea that she thinks will help the tories stay in power and Im fairy sure there will be some tax cuts put out just before the next GE with some stealth tax increases to counter them and hope the shills at home don't notice the stealth.
Will the people be so dull as to vote tory again with this bunch in charge?

As far as the flags go, I'm more for keeping politics outside of football. The arguments on here about the union flag at home games were bad enough.

Trampie's post, what BLM do doesn't matter, they are a busted flush and nobody takes the knee to support BLM any more but purely to support the fight against racism and not many do now.
What Celtic and Rangers do I truely don't give a toss about, they both ony do what they do to wind each other up as if the football itself isn't enough.

Israel don't listen to international law, Israel won't agree to a Palestinian state, Israel won't give back the occupied territories, Palestinians have had at various times laid down their arms (even if it's after been hammered in a so called wars) but it gets them nowhere, yes the international community should tell Israel you must do this and you must do that, I totally agree, but the leaders of the World don't, they back Israel to the hilt and the worry is they are green lighting Israel to commit not just war crimes but a genocide.
What was Hamas thinking ?, knowing Israel will do this, other countries wouldn't but Israel would and they would have known that, did they think the rest of the World will take pity and resolve their plight, or that if only a percentage of their population survive this do they think the international community will then see Israel in a bad light and demand they have their own state.
On top of everything some think that they thought their Arab neighbours were forgetting them by some of them going to sign some sort of agreement with Israel, on top of that they were getting attacked and killed in greater and greater numbers by Israeli settler's and had their mosque's attacked.
It's a terrible situation .

Can you even imagine a synagogue being allowed in most of the Arab states let alone Israelis being allowed to protest against terrorist organisations like Hamas and ISIS. Me neither.

The Palestinians had a golden opportunity to set up a free democratic Palestinians after the forward thinking Egyptian and Israeli governments agreed that the gazza strip which was captured from Egypt in one of the many wars, would be new territory of Palestinian in 2005 as part of the Oslo accord.
Israel unilateral withdrew from Gazza in 2006. The Palestinian authority was set up and free elections were held. Unfortunately the Palestinians voted to let Hamas rule them and the chance of peace was lost
Despite billions of $ of foreign aid from around the World things did not get better for the Palestinians as most of the money went to hamas to fund their terrorism.

Both sides are animals since 2008 150,000 Palestinians have been killed.
But the couple of hundred is the new holocaust.

Honestly you don't have to pick sides they are both scum of the earth.

Israel get trillions in aid off the usa,
But I forgot being critical of Israels murders is anti semetic.
You will also find the aid was used to build hospitals and schools that still get targeted because there are 'hamas' there.

I hate the modern world with a passion,
Every war porn guy has stopped playing Ukraine war expert and is now a middle east expert.

All flags should be banned from football other than the Union Jack, National flag and Club flag.
No more politics in football ever again!
Remember when we were just all there to watch the Swans?
Now its paying money to have state propaganda rammed down our necks.

Since the great reset of lockdown people have gone mad!
Let these other countries scrap it out none of them are nato so who cares?
War isn't some romantic thing that should be celebrated.

Israel is naturally aligned with Russia. Both have used force and ethnic profiling to create illegal "occupied territories".

For them it is for the best that the locals just bugger off somewhere else like the good old European Union or Lebanon.

Ukraine is naturally aligned with Palestine. Both have seen their lands stolen and repopulated with Israelis or Siberians. The imported settlers call them 'terrorists' when the fight back for what is theirs according to UN law.

This is human nature.

They share similaities but they are not aligned.

Rhondda, you are right, only a fool or a murderer loves war. Nobody on here is an expert but we are entitled to an opinion. Most agree with you that both sides are doing awful, disgusting things.
It seems to have turned out that the "civilian convoy" wasn't attacked and the explosion came from one of the vehicles in the convoy, what is the truth? Will we ever know? The world is so full of liars and the lies get bigger, the more politicians we have the more lies get told.

Obviously to help the Jewish refugees from Europe but they have been funded by the USA and to a lesser extent the UK so they can be the middle east police, to keep the Islamic states in check.

The problem is Israel have been disgraceful in their treatment of the Palestinians, they have subjugated them for over 70 years, pinching their lands and killing them indiscriminately whilst the rest of the world have ignored this but when the Palestinians rise up they are vilified.

Can't answer for jackaree but for my two pennyworth any remote possibility in the past would have been on Israeli terms which obviously would have been a major issue for the Palestinians but all a mute point because the Zionists won't have allowed it anyway, Israel's own prime minster was murdered by a ultranationalist Zionist because Rabin was thought to be getting too close to a two state solution .
Some of them out there will murder their own Prime Minster to stop a two state solution as has happened.
