Yes he's way past his best, waaaaaay past it, but we are in dire need of some experience at the back and he might just say Yes for old times sake.

Thoughts?

Lord Bony Reflections and a Proposal
at 12:29 20 May 2020

I didn't know the guy, and as more of a lurker and occasional poster here, I was never likely to. However, reading through the threads regarding him, there has been a theme of "what are we bickering so much for on here, life is precious".

With that in mind how about a pre-game meet up when football gets under way back at the Liberty? Could become a regular thing. Lets use this tragic event to spin something positive out of it.

Thoughts?

Absolutely excellent today.

IF we hold on to Joe Rodon, a Rodon/Cabango pairing would do us well over the next few years for sure.

Does Brexit die tonight?
at 11:59 3 Sep 2019

When this bill passes, which I expect it to, my understanding is that the EU theoretically can propose a different extension to the proposed January 31st, 2020 date currently in the bill.

The bill states that the PM has to accept that date, and that Parliament has two days to either accept or reject it (thereby putting any future extension date in the hands of Parliament as opposed to the PM). Given that we have a remain leaning parliament currently it's hard tp see how any proposed date would be rejected.

PM Johnson would then seek an election as he has stated, but now that it is looking as if the opposition parties may not get to the two-thirds of MPs required to trigger it, there will be no election at all. What then?

With a Govt that has to accept any date given and Parliament refusing to give him an opportunity to change the make up of the Commons, is this the day that Brexit dies?

Is it revoking A50 by the back door?

Countdown to the end of "democracy" in Hong Kong
at 12:07 13 Aug 2019

Reports this morning of the Chinese Army moving into Hong Kong - this could get very, very bad indeed.

My personal view is that if it does kick off, the UK should be offering immediate asylum to anyone with a Hong Kong passport who wants it.

Amazing new attacking tactic. Revolutionary stuff.

When you're anywhere near or inside the penalty box, simply smack it as hard as possible at arm height toward a defender.

Hit arm, penalty, score.

VAR at Women’s World Cup

Total, complete and utter farce.

The fact that new laws are effectively being trialled at the premier competition in the Women’s game is a disgrace.

Potter Ultimatum?
at 15:15 10 Apr 2019

Should Potter issue an ultimatum to the board?

I know he does not seem ike the type in the slightest - very mild mannered and level headed which is especially excellent when dealing with young players who will infuriate with inconsistency.

However, I would absolutely love it if he approached the ownership and stated that with the current crop of players plus one striker, one centre half and perhaps cover at full back, he thinks we have got a really good shot at promotion next season. He would calmly ask them to back him for one season. Go for it. If he doesn't make it, then fire sell if they have to - but hold it together for one year and he could get them back into the Premier League where they will make their $$$$ back in a few months.

If on the other hand, they fire sell at the end of this season, then he walks.

And I for one wouldn't blame him in the slightest!

Mad protest idea

Much has been said about the fact that our American owners are immune to any protest as they are based in America. What if 100 or do Swans fans went to a DC game and protested there?

Mad, but quite noticeable I’d imagine.

Championship Promostion Odds / WPL Odds
at 12:22 24 Jan 2019

Have us down at 25/1 to go up this year currently, including via the play offs. Worth a tenner in my opinion.

Also Barry Town are 10/1 to win the WPL which considering they are top as we speak seems like an excellent price!
