Rusty the Clown to Man U?

That was a Joe Shields signing.

As was Edozie, just as big a disappointment to my mind.

He was, aye.

Brighton Buddha was very much Wilcox's man.

Ex playere No.96 coming back?
at 13:43 25 Apr 2024

I think your last sentence answered your own question.

We do need more experience in the side, but with players who have had good experience in the Championship. I don't think these players are necessarily that expensive to find.

Oxlade-Chamberlain's wages would be obscene, another Walcott.

61 goals conceded in the League this season

Possibly.

Although there is VAR in the play-off final at Wembley, and that may negate some of the shithousery potential.

I think that could be Ipswich's undoing.

Wilcox was at Wembley watching the United v Cov semi-final.

As for Brighton Buddha, he's clearly an ambitious man, but I suspect he will find that we are the best gig in town for him for some time to come.

Drop KWP too much of a liability
at 13:35 25 Apr 2024

I was scratching my head as to why Brighton Buddha played KWP at left-back when we were up against the best left-winger in the League in Mavadidi.

TBF Bree played pretty well on the whole, but if KWP was chosen to play at left-back because Brighton Buddha didn't think KWP would cope with Mavadidi, it's quite the statement.

Somewhat ironic that Leicester's right-sided attacker scored a hat-trick, with two of the goals being when KWP was back at right-back....

KWP has been excellent for this club, and we will greatly miss him when he goes.

It's a ridiculous opening post to have Shea Charles in the team but not our best full-back.

If Jack Stephens is going to be in the team it should be instead of Shea Charles, not KWP.

Charles is a liability with the ball at his feet.

Presumably it was any block from Block 40 to Block 46???

That is all they are selling them for at the moment, but those are the cheaper blocks.

You'll be able to move elsewhere later on, but at a higher price......

I think we may see Super Jack in a defensive midfield position alongside Downes in the play-offs.

If Downes is fit.

61 goals conceded in the League this season

Those previous seasons were obviously in the Prem, so I think we have to concede that we were up against Salah, Aguero, Kane etc etc.

Bit different in this League, where Sczmodics and Sargent are the most prolific strikers.

I think Stewart is a serious threat in this League.

Including being a clinical finisher, he ticks a lot of boxes.

Apart from the “being fit” box, obviously…..

61 goals conceded in the League this season
at 14:16 24 Apr 2024

Four more goals conceded from our last two games against Stoke and Leeds, and we will surpass the figure of 64 conceded by Swansea last season.

When we appointed Brighton Buddha, common consensus seemed to be that we would not concede as many goals as Swansea as we had better players.

I predict that if Brighton Buddha survives the summer, Colin Calderwood will be the sacrificial lamb.

My biggest frustration is when we do work ourselves into a good position in the oppo’s final third, and you think there is the chance of a shot on goal.

And then we play it back to the halfway line and let the oppo get back their defensive shape, and the move peters out into nothing.

We did it a number of times last night and it infuriated me.

It is classic Rustyball, as I fear I christened it last June, to quite a bit of scepticism on here at the time aimed in my direction.

Increasingly thinking that the season is going to depend on these two both being fit for the play-offs.

I imagine there may be one or two behind closed doors friendlies being hurriedly arranged....

Sulemana should be got out of the club ASAP; can’t control the ball and doesn’t give a toss.

Edozie isn’t good enough, I fear. The more I see him the more I think League One is his natural level.

Fraser has done little since his injury sadly.

As for Sam AA and Dibling, lots of promise there, but God knows how long it will be until we see it realised.

The more the season goes on, the more I am thinking the key defining moment was when we sold Tella.

I am fearing Brooks has lost interest since Wales got knocked out of the Euros, and he is just counting down the days until he can return to the utterly irrelevant club on my doorstep.

Leeds or Ipswich?

I do think that with the play-off final having VAR, Ipswich won't be able to get away with the sort of shithousery they displayed so potently when we played them at their place on Easter Monday.

That is not me being an advocate for VAR, BTW......

Won by Saints without Flynn Downes in the team.

And judging by Brighton Buddha’s comments in today’s Echo, we won’t be seeing Downes before the play-offs……

Ipswich finishing 3rd and Norwich finishing 6th would be very handy.

Though I fear Norwich are going to finish above West Brom.
