Sky Sports Claims Two Potential Saints Signings Are Already On South Coast
Monday, 9th Jan 2023 12:54

Saints made what looks like a decent signing on day 6 of the transfer window, now Sky Sports are claiming that there could be another 3 new arrivals at St Mary's imminent, with two already on the South Coast.

The signing of Mislav Oršić on Friday was good news for Saints supporters and although he couldn't play in the FA Cup at Crystal Palace it gave the Southampton fans a boost and perhaps a few players a little bit of motivation to come from behind and win the game at Selhurst Park.

It was hinted to me on Friday that there might well be a new signing announced before the weekend was over, that didn't happen, but it seems that it might not be too long before another name or two are added to the squad.

Sky Sports Mark McAdam, seems to think so and he has had this to say:

"Our understanding is that Southampton are getting close to a few new signings. Nathan Jones said at the weekend, of the back of the win against Palace in the FA Cup, that they were hoping to get three or four new players.

"It's our information that two of those are potentially on the South coat at the moment. But who? We don't know yet.

"Saints fans, keep an eye on Sky Sports News throughout the course of today."

So there could be incoming at St Mary's perhaps as early as tonight or tomorrow morning.

Block 8...it's also called the " survival of the fittest ". Injuries always play a vital role in team selection. There are one or two who we won't be seeing as regulars again, but having them on the bench may be vital for the rest of this season.
We brought in 10 players (?) in the summer. Look for a similar number of exits by June.
