New version for new season as Sheff Wed enter transfer embargo...

Old thread here...

Toyed with this idea last season. Shall we have a thread to discuss, comment on, cover the rest of the league? A place to discuss other teams’ results, performances, financial implosions, etc?

For example, last night, anyone catch either of the first two games? I didn’t. But somewhat surprised/worried Blackburn scored 4 given how they are meant to struggle. Was it Derby being utter sh*te?

Sounds like Preston are continuing in the same vein of being incredibly dull.

Clive, what do you think? Worth making a sticky? Might reduce the number of threads to manage.

I couldn’t tell you with any confidence who they’d be loaning him from. I assume he’s still Manchester City’s 12th choice.

Damn it! Aren't they supposed to wait until they lose to QPR?

Poll: QPR to finish 7th or Brentford to drop out of the top 6?

I think they’re waiting to see what impact a certain points deduction would have. A 12 point deduction puts them in the relegation zone.

Watch them wait and then award a deduction that has no material impact, just moves them down to 19th or something.

Didn't give two hoots with Sheff Wed though did they

Difference there is that Wednesday went into administration not break FFP.

"Leicester have simply cheated to get back to the EPL"

And let's not forget it was their shenanigans in 2002 after entering administration just after relegation from the Premier League that ultimately led to the implementation of points deductions as it was seen after the event that they'd got off lightly and managed to go straight back up.

Poll: Which is the worst QPR team?

Phillips + Joe Rothwell ( Rangers) +.Hjelde ( Sunderland). All before we play them.

Blackburn currently looking to win first game in ten matches. Hate coming up against clubs who have just sacked the manager.

And they will push WBA into the bottom 3 if they hold on to the win.

Fun saga in the EFL trophy where either Swindon or Luton are due to play Plymouth at home next week but the EFL haven’t decided in the three weeks since Swindon won fielding an ineligible player who goes through.

We stay in touch.

Wrexham Millwall, do we want Mill to win and keep a one win gap between us and sixth place but move Millwall 9 points clear, or a Wrexham win and two teams to aim at?

A draw perhaps!

I think our one chance, slim as it is, is scraping sixth so would prefer a Millwall win. If five are well clear and we’re one of several with a serious chance of sixth with six games to go that would do me even if we ultimately miss out.
