I wonder who decides how much money is to be paid back , some under paid barrister surely not. |

Why anyone has not brought down Milliband and his truly mad policy of net zero defies all belief. |

I have to say that when I do visit town to shop we park in Debenhams ,at £2 an hour and the the fact that you can remain undercover from the car park to the Quadrant makes it ideal for me .There are a few no payment parking areas in town but they tend to be very limited or inconvenient if you have to carry a heavy load. The place is improving without doubt but still a lot of work to be done. When you see images of what town was like before the blitz it must have been quite an experience to shop there , I know it was in the 60's and 70's jammed packed every weekend but has been like so many others in decline, unless places like the Morfa, Fforrestfach and all the other out of town shopping centres close then we have to accept the fact that we will never see a return of a truly flourishing shopping centre. |

One of the reasons that Japan declared war on the US in 1941 was because of its be expansion plans being thwarted by America with the imposition of sanctions and its lack of oil being available to feed those plans .China. Their the ones who may kick off due to this source being cut off. |

Isolating ourselves at the moment wouldn't be a bad idea ,whose going to protect us should it kick off in the Urals ,not our armed forces for sure ."At the end of the Cold War in 1991 the Army had 155,000 troops in four divisions, with nine armoured and four infantry brigades. In 2025 it has 75,000 troops in two divisions, with two armoured and three infantry brigades. Combat power had shrunk by more than half. ". So we either cosy up to the US (obviously much harder now the idiots in our government who thought publicly calling out Trump was good idea ,rejoin the undemocratic EU and with it an declining organisation hell bent on protecting one thing ,itself , or become an isolationist country dependent on no one but in return helped by no one. |

I wondered how long it would take before the great unwashed attention would focus on a country most of them had never heard of let alone be able to spell , not long. |

Finally you agree about Russia better late than never |

"I agree with you the world is changing but, for me, isolating ourselves is not the answer. The other option is going to the states with a begging bowl and all that entails." Maybe if this country could provide statesmen instead of a 3rd rate embarrassment of a Deputy PM who is a previous role described Trump as calling him "a tyrant" and "a woman-hating, neo-Nazi-sympathising sociopath" (non of which has been proven ) , what ever you think of the US ,I'd much rather us be aligned with them than a unelected , undemocratic EU whose shown to be weak and ineffective . |

Starmer is as is now our country ,irrelevant in world politics .Why would Trump consult with him , a leader of a government who's quite happy to hang its own SF out to dry , a leader whose appointed a deputy leader whose loyalties lie in a country thousands of miles away , a leader of a government overseeing the invasion of the country he is supposed to protect. I bet Trump must have joke book full of the subject the PM of this country |
 | Forum Reply | Have human rights for murderers gone too far? at 10:09 4 Jan 2026
In answer to the OPs question yes they have gone too far., regardless of who instigated ,agreed, allowed this parody of "justice" ( yes imo thats exactly what it is ) to take place . By one killing one let alone two people that piece of detritus lost all rights normally bestowed on a citizen. The law is an ass and by god if ever a saying was appropriate then this is it. To think that he will financially benefit for his act ( if he hadn't murdered those people then he wouldn't have been put in solitary confinement) and has set a precedent for others to follow, I bet OHL is seething right now and I for one agree . |

£8 for a senior, cracking value for the money. Despite only playing them a couple of days ago that was then ,this is now. |
