I prefer stability at the club but heading for relegation is not stability, "give him more time" some say - at what cost ? I repeat what I said before, since the transfer window closed we have ended up with a very strong squad - all we need is a strong manager, we are a third of the way through the season and we have to stop this decline, which has been going on for 9 months, before it is to late. - Oh and Huddersfield have just sacked Chris Powell, they are 4 points below us ! |  | | |  |

The spell's hardness is caused by our raised expectations after keeping Chaz et al. I get the feeling that Les had got targets in mind but couldn't go after them because our funds are tied up in salaries and potential transfer fees.
This league is a complete bun fight and this spell is just symptomatic of the club not being able to make up its mind what our priorities should be. Consolidate? Obviously. Go for promotion? Great, but all of our problems still remain. |  |

The problem I have with Ramsey is for a well respected coach that we understood would develope players, making them better and thus we'd see our results improve as the season played out.
I can't think of any players who have developed for the better under CR !
Phillips did for a while last season, when we played him to his strengths. But he's gone backwards this season.
I don't think any of the new players have developed in a positve way. Maybe Hall but he was knocked back by a poor decision to drop him in favour of another loan.
The 2 Watford boys are not living up to expectations set at a Promotion winning team.
Green, Konchesky, Hill are probably not going to improve much more due to age. Maybe Henry too.
But Luongo, Chery, Austin, Polter, Onouha, Perch, Fer, Hoilett are not progressing.
Worse still, for someone who promised to develope and introduce Youth, Smithies, Furlong, Harriman, Kpekawa, Doughty, Petrasso, Manning, Blackwood, Grego-Cox are not playing or threatening to play, other than a couple making the Subs bench if we have a few injuries or expectant fathers ?!
Henry & Tozser still seem to be his preferred CM pairing, despite both being, disappointing in general this season.
Do I expect much to change on Saturday v Preston ? Will we finally see an improved performance ? I strongly doubt it. | | | |

That's a valid point.
'Great coach', 'great with the players' etc are often said about Ramsey by his backers and the club.
So the question then is - why is almost every single player at the club performing well below their capabilities?
Hall maybe is exceeding expectations by nailing down a starting place, everyone else is playing beneath their ability.
Ramsey is like Stuart Lancaster the England rugby coach - nice bloke, tries to set professional standards, good youth coach - but ultimately badly lacking when it comes to selection, motivation, tactics and results.. | | | |

JET is performing pretty much as Brizzle City fans suggested he did last season and would this season. Great when he's good, luxury when not. Is it Ramsey that's told him to launch throw in that only he can get on the end of ?
Luongo, is doing well, but he came with high expectations - Asia Cup player of the tournament. I'll accept he's doing well. Shame he's not being use properly by CR (IMO)
Hall I mentioned as a stand out who we had low expectations of.

agree with the players bit Dave but weren't Leicester a zillion points behind us and they somehow found a way to win home and away. Nice guy but a manager who can call upon Green, YSY, Phillips, Fer, Sandro and Austin really shouldn't be going through a hard time. |  |
