I hope that's all legit. I'd like to volunteer to do the same for the Nigeria Premier League - try a bit of retaliatory identity theft.

I'm sure there is a bit of an un-tapped Irish football supporter pool. Most Irish residents seem to tacitly support Liverpool or Man U, but Niall Quinn made a good stab at turning them into Sunderland supporters. When we played up there in 2008(?) I met a load of them on the Metro - they'd bought a day-trip ticket including return flights from Dublin, match tickets, lunch and drinks. And QPR has surely had as many high-profile Irish players as Sunderland?

Totally legit. There are a couple of guys here who managed to get great turnouts for both games at LR and live TV. Great comradere and togetherness. It's not always easy (understatement of the season) and it's amazing to discover that there is quite a few of us on this wee island.
So Mr mc carthy et al "your country needs you"

I know what you mean. There was a poll on the Offish a while ago and when I saw the info I had to give to register to vote I backed away.

Poll: Deaths of Thatcher and Mandela this year: Sad or Glad?

It doesn't apply to me but surely all the club wants is your email address so that it can be verified, in the same way some companies send you emails where you have to respond just to verify its a valid address etc.
It's your choice obviously but let's face it all of us season ticket holders and members are on the database what's the difference.

Dermy,

I'm in. Realistically, I won't be a very active member, I'm afraid. With GAA taking up most of my weekends I tend to fly over to my family in England on random SAS-style incursions so I can't see myself ever making one of the planned group trips over. I'll also find it hard to meet up in Ireland to watch Rangers games as I'm down in Cork. But I love the idea, so I'll email you my details and count me in,

Arh Brian, get with the programme here, where are you based Bere Island or something?

My cousin who is up in Castleblayney is involved with the Irish R's and Sharon I think it is from their group writes a piece regularly for the official programme. I think they change venues when they do meet up so there is a chance they would entertain heading in to bandit country from time to time. I met up with them a couple of times when they flew in for a coupe of games. A good bunch, quiet and reserved and all teetotalers!

Poll: With no leg room, knees killing me, do I just go now or stay for the 2nd half o?

This is of course open to all of Ireland. The numbers are going well (not quite up to the signed Jersey yet.)
With regard to security as someone said this is for the club and I would assume that they cannot use the information beyond that.

Brian don't sweat about "helping". This will give people here a better chance to access tickets as well as the affiliation. Waterford was the last gathering for the standard TV loss. That's a hop skip and a jump from you.

Well, if they're all teetotallers, then I'm in!
