Much as I loved Italy's resolve the right team won. That run up from the 2nd Italian was the funniest f*ck up I have ever seen. What was he thinking? Can't wait to see the gif on that one.

Poor penalty's. Its easy to say from the comfort of my sitting room but why dont players just blast the ball in the corner. How hard can that be to work on it in training. Its like players are given Carte blanche how to take them.

True. Its the indecisiveness that usually gets to the player though it seems . Surely if each player on the team are told beforehand in training what way they should go and just keep practicing that then it takes away the decision during the walk to the penalty spot. I dunno, like I said its easy for me to say while sitting at home, plus it all adds to the drama I spose. If Messi can miss than I guess its a lot harder then it looks.

No real need for a gif, just watch the penalty again. Unbeleievable.
Enjoyed the game though. In answer to the question in a previous post I think it was two good teams cancelling each other out playing the same formation. Germany just about deserved the win and it's amazing to find out that that's the first time ever Germany have beaten Italy in a tournament competition.

True, you can't. You CAN however practice and practice until you are 100% sure your technique is sound. It's why you'll find all top golfers will practice various short putt drills and would probably expect to miss very, very few so that when they get that situation in a tournament as a winning putt, they know it won't be their technique that will let them down.
