Reading Bakes thread set me thinking that this might be quite interesting. Hopefully not been done before.
For me:
Best. Mansfield away in League one. Friend of mine worked for Nationwide who were league sponsors at that time. I arrived with the 2 junior Yorks and a surprised security guard looked at my tickets and pointed us to the top floor where it transpired we were in the Board room. Food and drink all laid on, sat with both sets of Directors so free to celebrate as QPR won 4-1. To cap it all I agreed to take part in the correct score predictor and there was only one result left - you guessed it...
Worst- hosted a group of clients at Elland Rd. Rangers lost 6-1 & Brian Deane scored 3 or 4 - I can't quite remember as I have tried very hard to block that day from my memory....

A fair few of us from this board were in the hospitality at Reading a few years back, Cureton got sent off over a Reading player calling Jacks. Anyway, we were well tanked up and went back to be asked to vote for man of the match, so we all voted Jamie Cureton. Madjeski came in and read out the result, and said "oh very funny, well I am not giving it to that player" and made up his own MoM and then left a bit sharpish without a smile. |  |

Mate picked up a couple of corporate tickets to Chelsea QPR couple of seasons ago.
The food was magnificent, buffet from the heavens. fillet steak, awesome chicken dishes etc. Quite a bit of free booze too.
We never actually made it to the pitch and watched the whole game inside preferring a big old empty room than being sat next to a load of Chelsea Corporate types.
When we scored just after half time we made a bit of noise and for the rest of the match had our very own security cordon protecting us from pretty much nobody. There were maybe a dozen Chelsea below who'd carried on drinking instead f going back to their seats but they didn't seem to care much.
To be fair the stewards were alright and have a laugh with them. Left very, very drunk. |  |

Best was at Aston Villa in 2008 for the league cup match. Smug little sh1t that was the "host" spotted a couple of QPR fans as we walked in and did the usual "at least you won't be the only one here" comment. When we got to his private box (which I must say was fantastic), I think there was at least a couple of thousand R's in the stadium. Of course, Damien Stewart scored the winner and Smug Sh1t didn't speak to me again!
Worst is any time I go to Bristol City. I think they have upgraded hospitality now, but even when I was a guest of main sponsors, you had to eat in a large restaurant with about 100 people and then traipse up some very narrow stairs to reach some seats behind the directors box. Can't remember any specific games, but always seemed to be a freezing mid-week match and usually a bore draw! [Post edited 15 Aug 2016 11:32]

Best at Scumford Bridge when SWP scored on our 0-1 victory, good food great result, I've been in the scum end a few times but first time I felt OK celebrating, worst I got was a few dirty looks, been to a few others, Villa, Biringham, WBA but we lost all those games so blocked from memory. |  | | |

Best...... Mmmmmmmmm. I think most I've been to have been good. Newcastle away when Ollie put us one up in the relegation season was "eventful" shall we say. Bury away was hilarious it was so down to earth it was brilliant and we sat with Simon Stainrod. Chelscum is good but only to abuse it, Birmingham away was average
Worst would have to be at clubs where we weren't involved.
Brentfords when they won the Div 2 (?) title and the FA saw to it that Lootown went down was crap. The "corporate lounge" was the Undercroft of some stairs with a partition slung up. Terrible food, cramped and like a scout hut. The other was Old Trafford when they played Leeds. Plastic fans, plastic food, plastic hatred.
Corporate okay now and then but being amongst it in the away end on a racous day trip cannot be beaten |  |

Best: had a couple of lovely evening out at Wembley boxes always seems to be decent grub and booze.
Worst: Blackburn away in play-off winning season. We lost 2-0, played terribly (Luke Young CB), and the MC in the restaurant was like a tribute act to 70s working men's club standups. "Yun Suk-Young? Sounds like an STD that!"; "Like me new shoes? Got them from outside a mosque, there were loads there!" etc. |  | | |

Best & worst in one.
Worked for Steel Company that sponsored Scunthorpe so in 2011 took advantage in taking a few lads for the 3 points against bottom of the league scunnie.
Corporate bar is like a 1970s social club, the box has speakers in the corner but the half time grub is home made steak & kidney pie made in a great big fcuk off tray.
Rob Hulse 1-0 after a few minutes then we get tonked 4-1 WTF!

Best - Cheltenham away
About 35 of us booked the whole Cheltenham hospitality room - so it was only R's fans in there.
Loads of booze
Rangers coach pulled up and someone went out and came back with Holloway and Shittu before they'd even got into the ground.
One of the guys had bet another that he was bigger than Shittu - so we had the spectacle of them standing back to back to measure like a couple of school kids - not like a 40 year old and a professional footballer.
Think one of the guys started berating Nick Blackburn and as he did so his tooth fell out - bent done picked up, stuck it back in and carried on with his tirade.
Norfolt can tell the story about the disabled section! It's a cracker and in no way offensive I don't think.
Hospitality said there'd be tea and biscuits at half time, but none of us went back. Suddenly they appeared pitch side and handed out mugs of tea and biscuits from trays.
Game ended 1-1 with I think Carlisle sent off.
They had a bloke called Allsop who may have been involved in the sending off - big lump if I remember correctly.
After the game, he's walking to his car (name sprayed on the bodywork) and 1 of our group decided to give him some grief from the safety of the hospitality "suite".
He soon disappeared when Allsop started walking over!

A few seasons ago I was my wife's plus 1 at her annual company do and the weekend was to include a stay at a top London hotel, Chelsea v Man Utd in a box (company boss is a Manure fan), comedy club and then Dinner followed by club, generousI know.
Anyway the boss was trying to be billy big bollocks and state he could get a box at the scum no problem, but low and behold, he'd not been to Old Trafford for 5 years and no box was forthcoming and then the game was moved to the Sunday! Shit nothing to do Saturday afternoon?
My missus then says QPR are at home why don't go there? So to cut a long story short, he got a box v Huddersfield helped by my ST holders discount and off we went
The reception from the QPR stewardesses was great but the bosses wife was not impressed with the wine list and only a three course meal, so fine wines from the directors box was ordered along with an intermediate course and a cheese course.
Wayne Fereday came in to chat (mostly with me!) and joined us for a few drinks.
We were told on more than one occasion not to place beers on the shelf in front of the box in full view of the pitch and twice asked to keep the noise down, Charlie scored twice , we won, we all took Stan James to the cleaners based on Charlie's performance and as we left were told that they had never had a box full of people singing and chanting so much and to date had run up the largest drinks bill of the season!

Ian we were behind the goal at Cheltenham that day I'm pretty sure the Cheltenham player sneakily spat on Carlisle a couple of minutes before he got sent off, he retaliated and got caught.
The best hospitality I got offered and never went on was Years ago.
The national Manager of a very large plant hire company approached me on a construction site I was jointly managing, he said that he was aware from my director that I was a big football fan and I'd been picked along with a few others from other construction companies to go on a special footballing outing to Manchester that they do every two years.
Without interrupting him I let him explain the itinerary which was get picked up Friday afternoon (no wives) driven to Manchester in a luxury minibus booked into a 5 star hotel, we'd spend the evening in a club or casino, Saturday driven to OT stadium tour and meet some of the players Saturday evening a night in Manchester as a group in a night club, Sunday morning check out of the hotel and driven home.
I let him finish talking and just as he said "what do you reckon then Ted"?
I said "Nah, cant do it mate, not for me" I then explained my particular hatred for manure and just about every other club apart from QPR to which he just couldn't understand, he actually said that nobody had ever turned this particular freebie down.
Kingo; I used to get freebie offers from Reading most seasons especially when we were playing them as we built the hotel and the media suite there, I know an awful lot of people who work there some of them are from the old Elm Park day's I've always turned them down preferring to sit behind the goal with the working classes and get bored to fcking death.
