Thanks for your kind words, Bosh. Things are going well in Singapore. I’ve been attending a conference organised by Scott McGarvey — a great opportunity to put myself out there, network and get myself established on the local public speaking scene. The Gary Mabbutt Chinese takeaway/Bingo anecdote has been going down a storm with a lot of the investors (“Number seven, Chicken Kung-pao, Number 20, Egg fried rice…all delivered in Mabbutt's trademark Bristolian burr”). It’s a really cosmopolitan crowd - I’ve had some very interesting chats with the Sultan of Arabia, a Malaysian Betting syndicate and a Russian plutonium tycoon. I'm very hopeful that I can turn some of these leads into fee-earning talking engagements although slightly regretting not holding the Gary Mabbutt Chinese takeaway back until I’m getting paid for this stuff. | |
