Didn't see that coming after seeing the line-up!
Manning looked very tenacious and spread some lovely passes out to the wings. Forged a good partnership with Sandro first half but was a little more bypassed second half. Very promising debut. Wszolek MOM. Pace and actually beat players down the line. Excellent cross for first goal and persistence for the second. Also, Mackie looked to have a great influence on those around him. Was everywhere.
Perch had one of his better games but after getting booked for delaying a throw, I thought he was going to get a second yellow for the same thing later on. Two not very good sides but a boost of confidence and IH has a few difficult decisions to make regarding Monday. |  | | |  |

I think that there will be one change for sure.. a certain midfielder who cannot play more than 60 minutes in a game shirley cannot come back for a cameo after two day's rest. Other than that it would be great if the same team was actually used for two games in a row. Unfortunately, these flu epidemics always seem to cure themselves after a good night out on NYE. Like you, I expect wholesale changes. If it does happen and we lose through another poor effort, then I'd hate to see what's going to happen on this board. |  | | |

I thought Manning won and then used the ball better than I have seen Luongo do. One thing That I couldn't understand was why we didn't stick Simone ight up the arse if thipeir No 19. He ran their midfield and played ball after ball out to the left for it to be crossed in. We made him look like Zidane FFS |  | | |

Very happy with the win! Not just because of the timing but with a half of the first team out. I can't resist keeping up the dialogue about Manning and his work with Sandy. I for one would love to see Sandy reverse his image and better yet form a partnership with the youngster. Not missed as the reported dig at players not wanting to play (who?) yet Sandy is in there.
