I lose respect for this club 16:53 - Jan 28 with 4824 viewswgchoop

Please exuse my bad grammer and spelling but today i had my worst visit to loftus road in 30 years.
I was late to the game due ro work commitments so turned ul at the loft end at half time. On arriving i was told even though i had my season ticket i wasnt allowed entry , i calmy asked the young steward for the reason he said i needed to swipe my card . 1p minutes later i asked if said person was coming to the gates with swipe card thing only to be told ill have to wait till she was ready . Now im getting annoyed as my card is in my hand and has cost me 550 pound surely i can get in only to be told ny another steward i cant !!
I explain my season ticket is valid no matter what time i decide to attend games then get 3 more stewatds telling me to leave.
I argue my point again and i admit i use the f word ONCE due to my annoyance but then get told fro the head steward it is now a police matter ??????
Police turn up and agree with me that entry shouldnt be denyed unless i have threatened or been abusive and said steward cant prove i have .luckily my farther a barrister is in the ground so i phone him and after discussions im allowed in only if i shake the hand of my accuser ????

I did but am disgusted and sad for my club i have followed for 30 years .

Think of me as u will but a part of rangers died for me today .

Sorry to hear that but you shouldn't blame or feel bad of QPR due the actions of contracted stewards.
We all know they're little Hitlers and if you feel so, you should report the matter to the club and let them look into it.

I had a similar experience a few years ago. My son had worked a night shift in Manchester and got the early morning coach down to London to see us play Ipswich. I had drove from Belgium to meet him at the game. QPR had put packets of sweets on all the seats. At HT my son went to the toilet and was thrown out by the stewards because, they alleged, he had thrown his packet onto the pitch.
i tried to intervene, no one sitting with us had seen any incident, I asked for them to watch the CCTV but they said that could only be done after the game.
He didn't want to go and was angry because he was tired so they got the police to arrest him.
he was innocent, had gone to great lengths to support his team and was treated like this.
Some of our head stewards are real little hitler bully boys. W**kers.

Wild horses couldn't drag me away...

Was 15 mins late today missed the first goal (shame not) no trouble getting in east paddock and stewards are great there

likely a chelski fan report them and hopefully if their number comes up a few times they will be given the boot

Listen to the band play!

Must be luck of the draw as I didn't turn up until half time to Ellerslie and the steward there couldn't care less, just waved me through!

Don't let one total cock earning sod all and buzzing off the power of his hi-vis vest colour 30 years of being a fan mate, it's not worth it. I bet your life is better than his, just feel sorry for him

Yep , write to Hoos , Fernandes and the CEO of the stewarding company.

Insist on a personal meeting with one of them at the next game .

I got thrown out of the Loft once for over enthusiastically helping a Chelsea supporter out of our stadium. I politely reminded the steward that I was doing his job and not even expecting any type of gratuity for performing a public service.

Personally I think you should have been nicked for swearing at another human being just doing his job. Then had your ST taken away from you for the season (maybe a good thing I know). And made to do community service between 3-5pm outside the ground on home match days.

Nicked for swearing at another human being? It may be offensive to some, but people should still be asked not to swear before being arrested.

When there are no swear words you can't hear on tv you can't reasonably expect people not to use them in everyday speech.

That is a disgrace and I can imagine how annoyed you'd of felt! The whole stewarding at events is a disgrace, students and agency workers on near minimum wage 0 hour contracts employed to look after the safety and well being of thousands of supports! All clubs should spend more on the people who are for most visitors their only face to face interaction with the club!

Anton Ferdinand was not a very good footballer...

Agreed but despite this most clubs (and I'vew seen it from us in the past) are very keen to piint out Stewarding companies are hired in and are not actually employed by the club,. they sub contract it out.

I once tried to impress an Australian girlfriend by inviting her to a midweek game at Loftus Road. She arrived, having done some shopping after work, with a carrier bag of Dickins & Jones cut-glass wine glasses. The stewards wouldn't allow her in, because she was clearly planning to use them as missiles.

You have my full sympathy, mate.

One evening game I arrived just before KO, I had ridden up on my motorbike, had my flourescent yellow riding jacket on and my helmet in my back pack. Was told I had to take my jacket off incase I was mistaken for a steward and I couldn't take my helmet in to the ground as it could be used as a weapon or throw it at a player, I tried to reason with the stewards and explained if I threw my £800 helmet at someone then how would I ride home. They weren't having any of it so had to walk from Ellerslie road round to the reception and ask to leave my helmet etc there, then finally got into the ground 15 mins late and had to spend the whole game looking like a wally with my jacket inside out.

Danny Baker used to do a brilliant phone in on things that got taken off you before you went into grounds. Steward once took a pack of Stimorol off him. Another bloke inexplicably had a breast pump with him, but that was banned. But another guy, think this was at Bristol R, wasn't really thinking and had bought a set of knives before the game in town. Was waved through.

Bare bones.

I remember those calls , that baker & Kelly show was fantastic
there was also the call about what you have found in a ground and someone faxed or called to say they found a prophetic leg in the Loft
I once got in the ER with a roof tile many years ago against West Ham

And Bowles is onside, Swinburne has come rushing out of his goal , what can Bowles do here , onto the left foot no, on to the right foot That’s there that’s two, and that’s Bowles Brian Moore

I was standing outside the club shop after the Fulham game and there was a gobby young fella in his late teens/early 20s giving out loudly to his old man about something and then clear as day he ends one sentence with "the fxxkin' cxxt" - which made me look around as it did the 4 coppers who were stood right next to him.

2 of the coppers immediately gave him a quick "less of that language mate" but a third one then said "unless you have just seen John Terry!"

Poll: With no leg room, knees killing me, do I just go now or stay for the 2nd half o?
