I thought what with all the publicity this game would be sold out by now but there are still loads of unsold seats!

AND WHEN I DREAM , I DREAM ABOUT YOU AND WHEN I SCREAM I SCREAM ABOUT YOU!!!!!

I have no interest in watching this kind of charity game, yet really want to support the Grenfell survivors in any way possible, and love that Rangers are involved. So I will probably go anyway and read a book.

Sadly I believe it's a case of out of site out of mind for a lot of people. When you think of the initial reaction from the whole country donating clothes and everything, you'd have though at least 18,000 people would be up for the a benefit event.

Is it just the football taking place or is there anything else, like a few pop stars giving a live performance before hand?

You shouldn't compare tragedies but when you think of the Love Manchester gig organised after the terrorist attack, Grenfell which suffered worse casualties including children as well, it's sadly going under the radar a bit.

Or maybe apathy is borne out of the fact £18 million has already been raised ???

Or you buy a ticket and not bother going?I bought ours 2 weeks ago,but I'm not sure it's worth the 4 hour round trip.

There's quite a few of us going next week. We usually don't all sit together, but will for this.

I knew 2 people who lived in Grenfell Tower. The first fella who I grew up with got out from the 19th floor. The other fella who was in my year at school, didn't :-(.

As Smegma said, there could be a touch of apathy about this.

We all know that our lovely old dump of a ground can be a great place to watch football, but I feel a bit embarassed to think of new, non-football fans looking around...

Just had a look at the online ticket site, and a lot of Ellerslie and SA Road is totally sold out, although there are seats to be had mainly behind each goal. If you intend to go and haven't got tickets yet, it might be worth getting a move on.

As regards money raised for Grenfell from other sources, well, it sounds great but a lot of people's lives will need totally rebuilding. The Club is doing well to do this, it might be the last (or for some people, only) time to see Ferdinand, Seaman and others out there on the hallowed turf.

Personally, hope it's a great success.

You're suggesting there will be complaints about where it's being housed?

No pal, I didn't mean that. It's just like having guests round to your beloved home: you want them to like it, right? And our home is very dear to us because it's home, but when you try to imagine how it looks to outsiders, you have to admit it's a bit of a dump.

When you think of the occasion and what we, as a club are doing here you should be the opposite of embarrassed. I know I'm immensely proud.

I agree, me too. Sorry, I didn't mean to be negative at all. I am going and look forward to it. I loved the Stanley game and am also immensely proud of all the off-field things going on at the club.

P.S. Responses to my comments seem to have taken over this thread about something far more important. I'm sorry and please move on, people!

I'm taking my daughters (4 and 7) to their first game at HQ and I'm very excited about it!!!!

Taking the chance to sit in a different block from my ST but still in the Upper Loft.

Does anyone know if the kids will to get pictures etc around the side of the pitch before the game?

Dont know why we bother. .... but we do!
