Entertaining though scrappy first half with longish periods of hit and hope ball. Second half they started hurling and although Waterford lost, they showed some great moves and in my opinion were unlucky to lose. Like most sporting events, it could have gone either way.
I watched in a pub called the Cottage in Weymouth , Mass. Standing room only, heavily Galway dominated, which only added to my enjoyment as I was with a small group of Waterford people who really raised the already buzzing atmosphere. I'll go again.

Excellent game. Delighted Galway's free-flowing hurling won the day, wouldn't be a fan of Waterford's tactical approach, though I like their manager as a person. Galway much better, and Waterford lucky to hang in there for so long.

Best hurling championship in years. Thoroughly enjoyable.

Great game. I much prefer hurling to the gaelic football. I was rather hoping Waterford would win as I am going there next week and had they won there would be a real buzz about the place. Also some of their fans sported blue and white hooped shirts.
Nice to see two different sides competing in this years final instead of the usual Killkenny, Tipperary or Limerick.

it was a great game of hurling... fair play to galway... best team this year...NOW for mayo to bring sam down west to make it a connacht double.......also well done to the mayo ladies team who will meet dublin in the final at the end if september
